purely elizabeth giveaway

April 3, 2012

About a month ago, I was on my way home from school and stopped by one of my favorite natural food stores, Fruitful Yield. They have amazing products and great prices, so I’m constantly stopping by there for specialty items. As I was walking down one of the aisles, I picked up a new to me cereal by Purely Elizabeth.

It’s rare that I can find a cereal that is gluten free AND corn free, so I happily picked it up to try it out. Okay, technically it’s granola, but oats are only one of the amazing base items. This cereal is filled with amaranth, quinoa, chia seeds, millet — all hearty, earthy grains that my stomach loves.

When I broke open the bag that night for my snack, I was in awe. This stuff was GOOD — with a capital G. I immediately contacted Elizabeth and told her I wanted to share some of her products with you. She promptly wrote me back and obliged to sending me a few items to sample — and then give one of you the opportunity to win a package of your own!

The first item I was sent was the chocolate chip cookie mix.

Not only is Elizabeth a cereal making genius, but she makes one heck of a cookie mix. There are different cookie mixes, as well as pancake and muffin mixes as well. These cookies couldn’t have been easier to make. Mix with apple sauce, coconut oil, and vanilla — pop into the oven for 12 minutes, and voila! Homemade cookies for me to enjoy right out of the piping hot oven!

I also want to be her best friend because on the box, she tells you that if you don’t want to make all of the cookies that you should freeze the remaining dough to use later (or use on top of ice cream!). That’s my kind of girl.

The cereal I originally tried was a cranberry pecan cereal, so Elizabeth sent me two other varieties to try out for myself — Blueberry Hemp and the Original.

Both of these are incredible — not overly sweet, made with wholesome ingredients, and far better than I could ever make in my own kitchen.

These cereals aren’t really clustery, which makes me call them a cereal instead of a granola, but I like them just the same!

Basically, Purely Elizabeth products rock. Like I said, Elizabeth is graciously giving one reader the opportunity to win the same products I was sent to try — Original Granola Cereal, Blueberry Hemp Granola Cereal, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Mix.

To enter this giveaway,  leave a comment on this post. I will be picking a winner on Friday morning (April 5). Happy Entering!
