NuttZo kind of morning

October 30, 2010

When I woke up this morning, I was feeling kind of crazy — NuttZo actually to be exact.

Â

Earlier this week I was sent a jar of NuttZo nut butter to review — but my pictures were not doing the product justice in the dark. I had to wait until today to use some quality photos because this product really is stellar. I was sent the variety which includes peanuts, but they also have a peanut free variety as well!

Not only is the product out of this world, but Danielle, the founder of NuttZo, actually created this nut butter after she adopted two vitamin deficient boys from the Ukraine. Looking for an extra vitamin boost for her sons, Danielle came up with this product. Another bonus? The humanitarian effort Danielle is focusing upon with her product. The following is an excerpt from a letter that was sent to me:Â

Nuttzo is a proud supporter of Project Left Behind, a non-profit organization my husband and I started that focuses on providing nourishment and surrogate nurturing tools to orphans around the world. 1% of all sales go to PLB.”

What I love is that Danielle and her family are not donating 1% of all profits, but 1% of all sales. With a generous heart like that, how could the product not be filled with love?

I love the packaging of this product, first of all. In the above photo, the jar is actually upside down. So, when it is right side up, the label is going NuttZo — get it?

I’ve had NuttZo in a couple of different ways as of now — on a spoon in a fit of excitement & in my oats two days in a row. In all of the multi-nut butters I have tried in my lifetime, this one honestly takes the cake. Not only is it all organic, but the flavors and textures are out of this world. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s crunchy and smooth at the same time. There are even whole flax seeds to add to the texture.

Do you see all the different textures popping out in that picture? There are two ways I can describe the taste — one being a mixed nuts party in my mouth. The other thing I thought of as I was eating this was a heath bar — I’m not really sure why. It wasn’t necessarily the taste, but the texture. The one last final crunch you get before you swallow reminds me of a heath bar.

I’m trying to use this jar of crack (why so many drug references from my part lately?) nut buttery goodness, but it’s really hard to keep the lid on the jar.

Danielle offered my readers a special offer for the remainder of the year — if you place a minimum order of $28 from now until 12/31/2010, shipping and handling will be FREE courtesy of the NuttZo crew. Just enter the code happyholidays2010 at checkout!

Usually when I do reviews, they are just that. However, I really believe in this product. Not only is it absolutely to. die. for., but Danielle & her family are really doing something worthwhile with the sales. Thank you for letting me try your product Danielle — NuttZo will most definitely be a household staple from now on.

The only thing that made this breakfast better was this pumpkin spice latte — courtesy of MamaPea.

My weapon of choice:

High powered kitchen tools? This really was a crazy morning.

I could die a happy woman.

Question: Have you ever tried any NuttZo products? AND What are your plans for this gorgeous Saturday?

PS — Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a gluten free sampler pack from Nuts Online! It ends on Tuesday, November 2 @ midnight!

I’ve always wondered why the NuttZo label was upside down!

I’ve never tried that nut butter before or really any other multi nut butter (except my homemade kind). I like how you describe the texture, sound amazingly delicious!

Hmm, I may have to get some Nuttzo since shipping is free! $28 worth isn’t too bad at all. And I can’t find it in stores here. I love the flaxseeds and the crunchiness :)

Aww I love hearing about companies that support good causes! It makes me really want to buy their products.

If only NuttZo had a mixed AB + soy nut + sunflower seed + flax butter full of only ingredients that I’m not allergic too haha. Hmm maybe I should start up my own nut butter company! ;)

Geeeze, girl - you’ve been getting products to review out the wazoo lately! I think I’m a little jealous :P Seriously, though - that’s awesome, and the Nuttzo sounds perfect, too. I haven’t tried it yet, nor did I know there was such a good cause behind it. Thanks for letting me know! The main reason I’d yet to try it was price, but I’m much happier purchasing something that’s for a good cause :)
