count to 10

December 13, 2010

0 — degrees when I woke up this morning.

 1dough ball I’ve eaten today. It’s a Christmas miracle!

2 — pictures I took of my breakfast.

3 — (+ 4) times I will probably eat this combo this week. Pumpkin oats topped with grilled bananas, coconut shreds, and peanut butter. I got so mad at myself because I didn’t save the hunk of peanut butter for the last bite. I looked down, it was gone, and I still had about 5 bites left. ALWAYS save the peanut butter for last… ALWAYS.

4 — Days until winter break official starts (or 96 hours, or 5760 minutes, or  345,600 seconds)

5 — kids who did not follow directions for our “Secret Santa” activity in school today. Directions were as followed: “Bring 5 gifts for your partner on Monday. All gifts need to total up to $5.” 2 kids forgot all the presents, 2 kids only brought 1, 1 kid bought ONE gift for FIVE dollars. Ugh.

6 — hours of sleep I got last night…. = not enough for this girl.

7 - (+5) days until REBEL TIME! <3 <3 <3

8 — minutes spent on cooking dinner tonight.

Easy tofu scramble with broccoli, red pepper, onions, and tomatoes

9 — minutes until I cave and get another snack. Protein in dinner? Yes. Carbs? No. Time to carb it up! Is it wrong of me to eat smaller meals because I love eating more frequently? I couldn’t imagine going more than 2-3 hours without eating. I just love food too much.

10 — hours of sleep I could get if I went to bed RIGHT now. I know, not happening. A girl can dream though…

Question: What are some numbers from your day today?

Wow! I thought I had it bad when it was 6 degrees for me this morning! (Although both probably feel about the same.) I like to eat smaller meals so I can eat more often too! ;)

Haha, well, in their defense, that’s more kids that got it right than adults that I asked to remember to bring in a gift for our holiday luncheon. I just asked them to bring in one thing and over 1/2 of them forgot.

14 days until Christmas and still no word from you on what to get John for Christmas. UUGGHH!!! :)

cleaneatingchelsey December 13, 2010 at 7:45 pm

All he wants for Christmas is a cruise.. this is a tragedy. I’m sad for one of two reasons:

1. You can’t add 7 + 5

OR

2. You have been lying to me my entire life and Christmas is on December 27th

Three - the number of breakfasts I had today. I don’t know what got into me but I woke up hungry. Glad things settled down after that.

Cute post!! I portion out my peanut butter when I eat my oats but always save some for the last bite. What is REBEL TIME? And to answer your question on #9, no it’s not bad of you!

7 - hours of sleep I got. Enough? No.
7 - hours I worked today. Fun? No.

Dang. I wanted more 7′s but that’s all I can think of.

For my oats, I always put a bit of nut butter on the bottom. That way I ALWAYS have some nut butter with the last bite. :)

Aww, poor kids. I always felt bad when I was younger and somebody followed instructions incorrectly. I could always see their heart breaking when they realized their mistake :(

I’m less than sympathetic though because it’s always the SAME kids who never listen because they’re off in their little world.

Did you prepare for the secret santa fall-out?
I can only imagine you bringing extra gifts just in case. I am here…fresh out of tax school…to PLEASE be sure you account for every penny you spend this year for the kids. I know teachers probably spend more than they can claim as a tax deduction (boo) but at least claim what you can!

Is it just me or are schools getting out earlier for Christmas? I remember going until the day before X-mas eve.

Wow. I think I just dated myself.

It depends on the school district! My district gets out on Friday, but goes back January 3. The district my dad teaches in goes until the 22nd!

I totally agree with you on smaller meals so I can snack more frequently throughout the day!

Ha, I totally would rather eat many times a day that just the main meals, that is boring. I would have that breakfast 7 days a week:) Love this post…how are you so stinking adorable and creative??
