This morning I woke up, put on my big girl pants, and headed back to work.
Okay that’s totally a lie — I still have one more week left before I have to do that!
However, there are many of you who did have to go back to work. For that, I’ll mourn for you this week.. in my bed while you’re driving to work.
For today though, I’ll entertain you. You all know this year I took the plunge and got married. I also tend to write about the Husband.. a lot. Due to the fact that our lives could be a reality show sometimes, I’ve compiled some posts that have some of the best (in my mind) Husband anecdotes of the year.
Sneaky Sneaky (the FIRST Husband anecdote)
Case of the Lost Keys (a MUST read)
$20 Laundry Day (for all wives who do the laundry)
The Reason the Husband will Never Leave Me
The Husband Gets Me Cornstalks
However, if that’s not your cup of tea — although I really do recommend re-reading them as their quite humorous — you can look at some pictures from Christmas!
Perhaps tomorrow I’ll get my butt off the couch and make something delicious you can all “ooo” and “aaah” at.
Or maybe not.
We’ll have to see — I am on Christmas vacation after all.
Question: Did you have to go back to work today? Which “Husband” story is your favorite?

lol I love the story about the keys. My boyfriend cant hang onto his keys to save his life. The worst part is that he loses them in his own pockets. Apparently the all have holes, and he doesnt notice when the keys fall out.
Oh no! That’s the worst!
I had to work today! My bf had to drive me in and pick me up! Eek! Lucky you…
Lucky girl!
I head back to work tomorrow.. but have off again Friday!! Enjoy your week off
And I’m loving the pics from your new camera!
Ah, don’t tease me!!! Even though I’m not an actual teacher, I teach for a living but I still have to work. Not fair when all of my schools are on vacation and I’m stuck at the office.
That stinks - what exactly is your job title?
oh can’t wait to read about him. Our hubs sure do make for some great stories! Plus they are the best taste testers, right?!
They sure are!
oh and the spoon complex is my favorite, because I am can TOTALLY RELATE! ahhh spoons!
I am a teacher as well, so I still have another week of vacation!!
Nice Christmas shots!
In the one with your family I thought that your husband was sticking out his middle finger around your waist…I looked closer, and it’s just his pointer
haha - and he WOULD just to get a rise out of me!
I don’t have to go back to work physically, but I’ve been putting in several hours of work on the computer….working “remotely”. I guess it’s better than having to leave! At least I can work in my PJs!
That’s the best kind of work! I was just thinking today that if I worked from home, I would always wear pajamas.
I love the case of the lost keys!
Lovin’ this!! Thank you & continue to enjoy your break!!
i like the corn stocks !! so funny
No work:) The joys of being teachers! I loved reading the husband stories, you are hilarious and seriously you look GORGEOUS in your Christmas pictures!! Where did you get the green shirt you are wearing…beautiful!
Thanks girlie - I got that sweater from Kohl’s actually. It’s the Lauren Conrad line. It is SUPER cozy!
Um I agree with Janae, you are gorgeous, girl! And I’m pretty sure the story about the can lights will always be my favorite!
What a compliment from such a pretty girl!
The can lights are pretty classic. I am so glad I have documented all of this so I can remember them in years to come.
Ha ha all those stories are so great. I bet the Husband think so too. You’re family is so lovely looking
Those stories are great! I just started blogging and have thrown in a couple tid bits about my fiance-I could only imagine if I dedicated posts, they’d be pretty humorous! In due time:)
Thanks Kristina. I’m not sure if I ever truly “dedicated” posts to him, but I somehow found a way to make an angle towards what I wantred to write about. OR I’d be in such a writing slump I was actually happy when he did things so I could write about it!
You family is beautiful! I love the photo of the hubs passed out. That was me on Christmas, Christmas Eve, and pretty much every day leading up to it.
Thank you! It was a good thing he did pass out because he ended up having to work for 15 hours Christmas night snow plowing!
I am so glad you posted these. I feel like I know you [& the Husband] better already.
Lucky duck not having to work
Enjoy it! It’s nice relaxing and just having some me time. Looks like your family had a great Christmas!
Ahhh, such is the life of a school teacher. I have to give it to ya though, no amount of holiday breaks and summer vacation could get me to do what you do. Hope you enjoy the rest of your break, you deserve it!
I LOVE the “Spoon Complex”…made me laugh out loud! Too cute!
I’ll be enjoying this week off with you. One of the perks of being a student!
Hahaha I loved the cornstalks post! I bet there’s still that farmer out there scratching his head wondering who stole them from his field.
I also love the story about the keys. Sooo my life!!! I did go back to work yesterday
at least we get to dress down.
That little white dog that your cousin/niece/whomever has: I totally got one of those for my 6th or 7th Christmas… I had it “walk” across the coffee table, and it fell off and immediately broke
. Just reminiscing on Christmases gone past
Oh no! That must have been traumatic ifi you remember it!
Great pics - looks like you all had a blast. I’m off for the week too and enjoying every minute of it.
I love the lost keys post… but also the cornstalks… and the one about how you met!
Actually I love them all! He seems like a great guy!
Loving the pictures! Enjoy your time off!!
I had to go back monday
enjoy your leisure time girl! I’ll be looking forward to the oooing and aaahing later on… Or whatever your heart fancies
How you met The Husband and the one with the keys are my faves! So sweet!
And your green top is LURVELY by the way!
I’m a stay at home mom, I’m at work all day, every day. Enjoy the rest of your Christmas vacation
Jen
I love the sneaky post! I read in the paper a couple of weeks ago about the number of wives who have put their husbands on “diets” - doing things like swapping normal Coke for diet but leaving it in the normal bottle, buying lower-fat cheese, etc, then watching the men lose weight without even realising! I thought it was genius - but I think this is better
haha reading ALL of those husband stories now!!!!!!
PS yo fam is beautiful
PPS yo bro is HOT!
Chels- Don’t get your maxmatching in gear…she’s totally taken for now but wow…how much would you love having her for a sis in law …cue Oprah voice “Ad-OOOR-ABble…”
Great family shots!
What was in the cuisinart box?
I felt a little like a weirdo when I recalled every single post without going back (0:
My fave is the corn stalk. That’s just….it speaks for itself.
Missy
I got a batter bowl for my Kitchen Aid Mixer!!
