best “Husband” posts of 2010

December 27, 2010

This morning I woke up, put on my big girl pants, and headed back to work.

Okay that’s totally a lie — I still have one more week left before I have to do that!

However, there are many of you who did have to go back to work. For that, I’ll mourn for you this week.. in my bed while you’re driving to work.

For today though, I’ll entertain you.  You all know this year I took the plunge and got married. I also tend to write about the Husband.. a lot. Due to the fact that our lives could be a reality show sometimes, I’ve compiled some posts that have some of the best (in my mind) Husband anecdotes of the year.

Sneaky Sneaky (the FIRST Husband anecdote)

Kitchen Can Lights

Case of the Lost Keys (a MUST read)

Spoon Complex

How I met the Husband

$20 Laundry Day (for all wives who do the laundry)

The Reason the Husband will Never Leave Me

Battle of the Chair

The Husband Gets Me Cornstalks

However, if that’s not your cup of tea — although I really do recommend re-reading them as their quite humorous — you can look at some pictures from Christmas!

Perhaps tomorrow I’ll get my butt off the couch and make something delicious you can all “ooo” and “aaah” at.

Or maybe not.

We’ll have to see — I am on Christmas vacation after all.

Question: Did you have to go back to work today? Which “Husband” story is your favorite?

lol I love the story about the keys. My boyfriend cant hang onto his keys to save his life. The worst part is that he loses them in his own pockets. Apparently the all have holes, and he doesnt notice when the keys fall out.

Oh no! That’s the worst!

Ah, don’t tease me!!! Even though I’m not an actual teacher, I teach for a living but I still have to work. Not fair when all of my schools are on vacation and I’m stuck at the office.

Nice Christmas shots!
In the one with your family I thought that your husband was sticking out his middle finger around your waist…I looked closer, and it’s just his pointer ;)

I don’t have to go back to work physically, but I’ve been putting in several hours of work on the computer….working “remotely”. I guess it’s better than having to leave! At least I can work in my PJs!

That’s the best kind of work! I was just thinking today that if I worked from home, I would always wear pajamas.

Those stories are great! I just started blogging and have thrown in a couple tid bits about my fiance-I could only imagine if I dedicated posts, they’d be pretty humorous! In due time:)

Thanks Kristina. I’m not sure if I ever truly “dedicated” posts to him, but I somehow found a way to make an angle towards what I wantred to write about. OR I’d be in such a writing slump I was actually happy when he did things so I could write about it!

Ahhh, such is the life of a school teacher. I have to give it to ya though, no amount of holiday breaks and summer vacation could get me to do what you do. Hope you enjoy the rest of your break, you deserve it!

I LOVE the “Spoon Complex”…made me laugh out loud! Too cute!

Hahaha I loved the cornstalks post! I bet there’s still that farmer out there scratching his head wondering who stole them from his field. ;)

That little white dog that your cousin/niece/whomever has: I totally got one of those for my 6th or 7th Christmas… I had it “walk” across the coffee table, and it fell off and immediately broke :( . Just reminiscing on Christmases gone past :)

I love the sneaky post! I read in the paper a couple of weeks ago about the number of wives who have put their husbands on “diets” - doing things like swapping normal Coke for diet but leaving it in the normal bottle, buying lower-fat cheese, etc, then watching the men lose weight without even realising! I thought it was genius - but I think this is better :-)
