best google searches

January 8, 2011

Saturday nights are usually not too exciting over here. In fact, today my mom called the Husband and I “more boring than her and my dad”.  If you were twenty three with the world at your fingers, you might get upset at that comment. However, I don’t exactly resent that comment because it is more than likely true. Sue me if I’m a homebody and enjoy hanging out at home once it gets dark outside – I will still like you.

We have a baby to think about now – which means we are even more boring. No. Big. Deal.

We would love Charlie no matter what, but I’m pretty sure I love him more just because he fits right in.

I had to give you one more because he’s so stinking cute!

So, if you are boring have chosen to stay at home tonight, I can at least provide you with some entertainment. Therefore, I bring you… the best Google searches which have inevitably brought readers to Clean Eating Chelsey. These are in no particular order of course.

  • dirty slippers (I resent this – mine aren’t dirty)
  • freddy claw (This is normal….not)
  • small hard lump armpit (more hypochondriacs out there?)
  • "you look cute in your glasses" (No I don’t, but thanks)
  • i hate being rushed (me too.)
  • taylor hanson (my obsession from age 10-13)
  • my pee is orange am i dying? (no, you’ve just eaten too many beets)
  • brother "i dressed him up" (I did too – and called him Matilda)
  • chelsey teacher in chicago blog healthy living (why yes I am!)
  • blog about friday night and i’m just at home (I see a trend…)
  • took kids and went into hiding (umm… scary much?)
  • beet greens orange urine (it happens.)
  • can you use ketchup in pasta bakes (you can use ketchup on ANYTHING!)

Besides the “took kids and went into hiding” search, I think I know what post each search brought the reader too. That one is just scary.

Just in case you didn’t enjoy that as much as I would have hoped, I’m going to leave you with something else.

Frozen brussels sprouts are horrible.

It doesn’t even matter if you microwave them and then try to roast them. You will not remove the suckiness from the flash frozen vegetables.

Looks like another Western is on AMC – so. not. excited.

Question: If you blog, what is the funniest search that has brought someone to your site? OR What do you enjoy doing on Saturday nights? Pretend like you have no money so your suggestions inspire us.

I am also “boring” and turned down an invitation to go out with friends to just stay in. And I’m now making wheat bread at 8 PM on a Saturday night. ha!

Charlie is sooo cute. My boxer is in a similar position right now, all curled up next to my husband. I should join them. :)

Since we are also trying to be frugal, our cheap date tonight is talking about our goals/resolutions for 2011. And soon the date will involve hot bread.

I’m glad I’m not the only boring person out there. I’m starting to think that being an adult is just sometimes like this…

I’m all for date nights which include bread - make me a GF loaf, will ya?

Those searches made me laugh so hard! I read it to my husband and he thought it was classic. Thanks for the distraction from a very boring, rainy Sunday and three screaming kids who seem to think that the louder they are, the more fun it is. Incidentally, I have no desire to take them and go into hiding ;-)

THIS IS EERIE.
I’m going to type this comment and go for a walk. Why?
I am drafting my next post….actually started it last week…and it involves googling.
Same thing with the video post…it’s like I can copying you right?
Now here’s the REALLY eerie thing. Today I decided I am actually GOING to copy you….I bought the ingredients for one of your recipes and of course I’m going to blog about being (I think this is cute) a Copy Cat-erpillar.
Weirdity.
Anyways. You do look cute in jeans (I remember from the year in review post). (0:
And I’m not gonna comment about how cute you look in your glasses *ahem* bec ause I know you don’t want to hear it.
Hope Hubbie is on the mend.

I love the crazy search terms! I get some serious creeper ones too. I try not to think about those. There are a bunch for “girl sweat” and “sweaty girl”.

Hi! I love reading your blog and am new to actual blogging! How do you check the Google searches? My blog is still a baby so I know I don’t have any yet…but maybe for the future :)

And I’m pretty boring these days too! Friday night’s highlight was watching Jersey Shore. I may have fist pumped a couple times…

Katelyn January 8, 2011 at 8:16 pm

I’m boring too, at home workin’ at my econ paper (workin hard or hardly workin? I won’t tell..)

The most interesting searches to my page have been милый кролик (I wish I knew what that meant), “have a mice day” (………), chopped up bunny, katelyn food porn, mug tea hot fat, and yoga untuk wajah.

People have weird interests..

Ayla January 8, 2011 at 8:28 pm

Hahaha, I love the search terms! I understand what brings some of them to my blog but.. others creep me out. One I got recently was: teen girls with small boobs in small bras.
Uh, what the eff. I think I attracted a pedophile to my blog.

The weirdest Google search I had was, “run in full body spandex suit.” I’m not sure where that came from.

I agree frozen brussel sprouts are gross!

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey January 9, 2011 at 7:06 am

That is so funny! I had to wear full body spandex when I swam - race day attire!

Reply

Stefanie January 9, 2011 at 12:13 am

Wasn’t there is this a lie or not post about the hubs baby-sitting and tying the kids up or something?! Maybe that’s what it was about. I visited my friend in FL and wrote about dolphins and people looking for dolphin info always find my blog. Bet they’re disappointed!

You made me go look up my google searches for the past week - nothing too funny, but this one was a “wth?” : “don’t kick the back of other people’s chair” and “what indian flavor bill clinton eat frequently.”
uhh, okay..

OMG I have gotten some really funny/creepy ones. For example: (I’ve really gotten all of these!)
“Does my massage therapist know she’s exciting me?” EW!
“Fun things household chemicals” What?
“Where does the phrase “I’ll eat that cookie” come from” HAHAH.
“What chemical can you put in someones drink to slowly kill them” Okay this one REALLY scared me and creeped me out when I saw it…

I know what posts all of these led to too, it’s just weird what people search for!

Reply

We are all about making dinner together and parking on the sofa watching tv for hours.

Sorry to hear about the brussel sprouts. They’ve become my new found love. It’s a sad day though, indeed, when not even ketchup can salvage them.

I just checked my “top searches” section and here is what I found:
-”balls deep” (uh, yah no clue what post that would be)
-”I’m sure I will love your senior pictures”
-”sad oatmeal raisin cookies”

That’s all the good ones from this week!
