kind of boring

January 15, 2011

1. I can’t think tonight. Sometimes my ability to be creative and wrap an entire post around a food or a situation with a story just doesn’t happen. Today is one of those days.

2. My brain is spinning, and for some reason I’m feeling mega irritated. Why? I’m not too sure. I got to spend the afternoon with my mom and sister seeing The Dilemma with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. Funny movie, quality time with the mommasita and sister - what’s not to love?

3. I’ve been getting really lax about taking pictures of everything. Perhaps that’s where my lack of juice is coming from tonight. Goal for next week: keep Roxy (read: Roxy the Rebel aka the camera) in sight at all times.

4. If you think I’m constantly pulling out the stops with recipes such as vegan pot pie and gluten free pizza, you’re totally wrong. I was almost embarrassed to take a pictures of my dinner tonight. We need to go grocery shopping, which translates into: There is no vegetarian protein in the house for Chelsey, therefore she eats every hour.

5. I’m tired — really tired. I even fit in a nap with Charlie this afternoon after lunch. It didn’t help much. Sleeping is amazing.

6. I’ve taken hot yoga for the last two Saturdays now. I am basically in love and am wondering why it has taken me so long to get into it. After a long week of working out and teaching, it is the perfect way to begin my Saturday morning — I feel so relaxed and at peace when I leave.

7. I’m kind of a psychic. That’s all I can tell you right now though. I’m thinking about dressing like a gypsy now — think scarf around my head, bangles for my wrists — I might even grab peoples’ hands to ask if they want a palm reading from time to time.

8. I think snail mail is a lost art form. With the world at our fingers these days, it is so easy to forget how exciting it is to receive a package in the mail.

I won a giveaway the lovely Stefanie hosted @ The New Healthy earlier this week. She sent out my package only two days before — I guess that’s the perks of living only an hour away from each other! I suppose we could have met half way or something to hand it off!

The original giveaway included 6 Oskri bars, but Stefanie was kind enough to throw in some extras such as some Amazing Grass packets and a cute pad of paper for school! Thank you Stef!

One of the bars is missing because I ate it in the movie theater — it was too good to pass up!

9. Tomorrow I’ll be less boring for you.

Question: What was your Saturday like? Were you feeling kind of boring like me?
