Well, the big day has finally come — my baby is all grown up. I’ve been dreading this day for the past month of my life while enjoying the very last days he is at home with us all day long. However, you can only hold onto your children for so long before letting them go out into the big world on their own.
That’s right — Charlie is heading off to school tonight.
Like any worried parent would be, I have gone through all the different scenarios in my head:
What if the other students don’t like him? Will he be accepted for who he is? Will the other dogs think his stripe on his nose is “weird”? Will the other dogs let him give them a ‘sniff’ to say hello? What if he doesn’t perform as well as the others? Will he be put into a different class? Oh gosh, what if he misbehaves? I will be mortified.
It’s also a well known fact that teachers make the worst classroom parents. We are either way too overly involved or far too laid back in fears of being “that parent”. I hope I can find the balance between them both because, let’s face it — I just want what’s best for Charlie.
It’s too bad there is not nap time at school tonight — Charlie would get an A+ in Nap Time.

It went so good! We started late (at the third week) and he kind of showed two of the dogs up. I smirked a little.

Charlie loves play dates too!! He is a lover for sure. Being a puppy mommy is great except he loves his daddy more. I’m kind of jealous.

My dog was the worst one in the class for the 1st three classes and then she came out of nowhere and blew the other dogs out of the water. You should have seen her army crawl trick for her final project. I’m such a proud fur-mommy
