calling all bloggers

February 5, 2011

Approximately two minutes ago, I claimed I would not write a post today.

I lied.

Okay, I didn’t lie. I had no intentions of writing a post until I remembered something (it’s rare), and I knew I would forget by tomorrow (typical).

There’s a reason why I wasn’t going to post today.

My day wasn’t too exciting.

I couldn’t find an angle.

Taking a nap on the couch with your dog isn’t exactly food blogging material.

Dinner with your parents is though — but not when you forget your camera. Actually, I didn’t take one picture all day long. Bad blogger.

Instead, I have a proposition for you. A business proposition, if you will.

I want to start a guest post series, maybe one per week. Which is where YOU come into play. I love you all, and I want a little piece of you to be engraved on my blog forever. It can be anything — a recipe, a tip, something about you, your favorite thing about me — as long as it is family friendly, I’m down.

In exchange, I would love to do guest posts for you as well. If you are at all interested, please email me: cleaneatingchelsey (at) gmail (dot) com

Once I have some responses, I will put together a schedule (read: Type A) and let you know when you are scheduled to post. I can’t wait to see who steps up to the plate!

For those of you who aren’t interested, here’s a bowl of oatmeal. Why? Because it’s pretty — and you haven’t seen oatmeal on this blog for a while. That needs to change.

Question: What did you do this Saturday?

I didn’t post yesterday for that very reason. I thought about my day and there wasn’t a single thing that was exciting, and I didn’t bake a thing, either! Ehhh, well.
Love the Guest post series idea - I’ll be e-mailing you :)

Aw man… I feel so terrible lately I can barely type, but there is so much to blog about (because I don’t blog every day). Here are some things I have in mind for you….(I would be FAR to shy to appear on your blog, girl…what the heck could I contribute) However I can help. Have some Drafts up in your google reader. Those nights you can’t sleep? Get it out. Cover ALL kinds of topics. Your spoon post? Loved it. And the “Love Life Be Brave” post?
So from now on I will ask you questions…you don’t have to answer but maybe they will inspire a post and you can work on it and save it in the Reader Drafts. But also think about what you may want to express…type it as inspiration comes and hit publish whenever.

How about best and worst of teaching? Why’s you want to do it?
What books have helped you in your journey to clean eating?
Your thoughts on veganism?
A movie you saw recently?
A funny thought you had …

You could contribute A LOT in a guest post! You’re an amazing person Missy!

Love those questions - you have me thinking!

Love the guest post idea - it’s always fun to see new bloggers or favorite bloggers guest post. Today, I ran outside right before MORE heavy snow!

I love oatmeal :)

A post about napping with your dog is blog worthy :)

I love knowing you’re type A, I am too :)

I love this guest post switch! I’m trying to think what I would write about…perhaps how I got into running after being a self proclaimed “non runner”. ??

Today I ran 17 miles, got new running shoes, tried 2 new blogger recipes, and am about to go to fro-yo by myself. I’m that cool. Maybe I’ll do a guest post on how cool I am.

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey February 5, 2011 at 9:21 pm

No shame in getting fro yo by yourself - I’m pretty sure that I am just as cool.

Took a massive nap all afternoon after sleeping for, oh, 10 hours?
And read about teaching nutrition to little kids for my psych class… Which was vaguely interesting, actaully, but I REALLY don’t want to write a paper on it! ;)

I just e-mailed you! :)

I didn’t do a post today because all I did was talk to my sis on the phone for nearly 2 hours, go to a basketball game where my son’s team lost…by a LOT, eat leftovers, and organize my kitchen cupboards. Aren’t you super jealous of my fab day?

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey February 5, 2011 at 9:26 pm

I am - and to be perfectly honest with you, I would have loved to see the before and after of the cupboards!

Charity February 5, 2011 at 9:29 pm

I love the idea, even though I’m new to your blog…would you want me to join in too? I really enjoy your sense of humor and food posts as well (especially as you’re a clean eater!):)
I started the day with a voice lesson, then came home, ate lunch, got on the computer and blogged (alot of scheduled posts throughout February) tumbled and generally killed time on the computer. I’m now going to do some baking!

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey February 5, 2011 at 9:36 pm

Feel free to join in! Email me if you would like!

Sophia Lee February 5, 2011 at 9:35 pm

Hahaha! Your last paragraph totally cracked me up. Perhaps everyone should just share their “bowls of oatmeal” as a self-parodying joke. ;-)

:) There’s never enough oatmeal in the world, is there?

Christine @ Merf In Progress February 5, 2011 at 9:36 pm

I’ll write a guest post about overcoming kitchen-phobia, motivated by wanting to feed my children the very best. I love guest blogging.
