Another day, another dollar.
The apple never falls far from the tree.
As slow as molasses.
If the shoe fits.
When the tough gets going, the going gets tough.
I’ve always loved common clichés and overly used phrases. It helps me… express myself and usually gives me a good laugh. Whatever your take may be on cheesy one liners being used in writing, there’s one thing I know about the granola I just sampled.
All things grow with love
I have been seeing Love Grown Granola around for the last few months, and I have been anxiously awaiting a chance to try it. Love Grown has recently gone nation-wide, but sadly none of the stores it is sold in is near my home. When Laura & the Love Grown team contacted me to ask if I wanted an opportunity to try their products (!!!!!), I jumped up and down like a five year old, regained my composure, and promptly replied with a YES!
There must have been love in the air that day because I was having a horrible day, and the email from Laura turned my mood around with her kind words and product opportunity. What can I say — I’m young and in love — with this granola.
Love Grown Granola is a Colorado based company that started small and is fast growing! They use all natural, gluten free ingredients — which makes me happy as a clam.

Love Grown has five different varieties, and I was sent three to try: Raisin Almond Crunch, Cocoa Goodness, and Sweet Cranberry Pecan.
I’m going to let the photo below speak for itself.
That would be Sweet Cranberry Pecan. Perfectly sweetened, clusters galore, with a copious amount of cranberries and coconut to round out this granola to make it my absolute favorite variety. There are two things I look for in a granola: one being clusters, the other being a lot of mix ins. This granola has it all. Chunks of lightly toasted pecans hiding in the midst of the other ingredients make for a decadent ending.
Some more food for thought — where else can you find whole almonds sticking to clusters in a bag of granola?
I’ll be waiting for you answer….
Nothing? I didn’t think so.
Raisin Almond Crunch doesn’t leave any room for guessing. It’s all there — raisins, almonds, and the clusters provide the crunch. The almonds are perfectly roasted and the flavors compliment each other perfectly. I cannot be trusted with this bag around. This stuff is going… going… gone.
After trying those two flavors, I thought to myself, “Okay Love Grown — can you top yourself?”
Meet Cocoa Goodness…
You’ll have to believe me when I tell you too much of a good thing — is a good thing. The clusters in this granola are out of control. This granola is lightly dusted with cocoa powder with mini chocolate chips hidden for a sweet surprise. It’s honest to goodness good stuff.
Check out these stats — you can’t go wrong.

You’re just going to have to act the fool when this package tells you a serving size is 1/4 cup though. It’s not going to happen. Just embrace this.

Would I buy this granola with my own hard earned money? You bet your life I would. This ain’t no puppy love folks — it’s the real deal.
When you go out and treat yourself to some Love Grown (and you should!), you’re not going to call my bluff.
Question: What’s your favorite one line saying and/or cliche?
Disclaimer: Love Grown Granola was kind enough to send me these complimentary samples to review. I was not compensated for my review on their products, and all opinions expressed are purely my own.

That cocoa granola looks and sounds out of this world! You lucky girl!
UMM… that looks AMAZING. so glad it’s FREE!
I want that granola! Maybe one day they’ll bring it to England…
oorrr it’s 12.15 am and I’m too tired to think of any
Overused phrases…I say ‘crikey’ a lot, but that’s a word, not a phrase. Hmph. Maybe I’m jsut SO original I don’t use any phrases or one liners
I hope they do for your sake!!
that granola looks yummy! I need more yummy granola in my life, especially since I gave up cereal for lent ; )
THAT LOOKS AMAZING!!! I need the cocoa one. Girl, your posts are my favorite….you are hilarious:) I can’t think of a one-liner because my brain is on spring break:) Have an amazing day gorgeous girl!
I hope you are having a great spring break!
That granola looks UNREAL! I gotta get my hands on some ASAP
My least favorite line is:
“all good things must come to an end.”
that always bums me out.
That is a sad one!
I love granola. I don’t eat it very often, but it is always a fav of mine!
That granola looks amazing and I love the story behind the company. I am the worst at repeating lines I love correctly and my husband always asks me not to say them in public for that reason. It’s just embarrassing that I can’t get them right.
My husband always yells at me for saying “ridiculous”. It’s kind of a running joke.
I have been seeing that granola all over - its like it is calling my name! I am going to have to try it! YUM!
oooh looks that granola looks delcious! I don’t have a fave saying but I have a least favorite: “distance makes the heart grow fonder.” I was in a distance relationship for a summer and hearing that did not help things!!
I know that phrase sure doesn’t help! Duh, right?
how funny in French we say “Loin des yeux, loin du coeur” which means totally the opposite. i have been on a long distance relationship and that one didn’t help neither…!
My favorite is “When in Rome..” (a la anchorman!). I’ve been looking for GF granola - that looks amazing!
this looks amazing! thanks for the review!
I have got to check out my local stores for this granola!
ahh i always pick out the clusters first, that’s my favorite part of any granola/cereal haha
I try not to, but I find myself doing that too!!
I also love “another day, another dollar”, but you gotta say “holla’” at the end.
You’re right - I forgot it! Holla! Okay, I must admit, I’m not a “holla” back girl. That felt weird.
Chocolate granola has a special place in my heart
Oh my word! I would love to have some of that granola! I wish it was sold where I live.
I’ve been told to contact stores if I want to see it!!
LOVE LOVE GROWN FOODS (and the fact that they’re from here - Colorado represent!) I must try that cocoa one, mmmm.
PS - The Husband was in Colorado on Tuesday and I was mildly jealous. I was thinking of you!
Aww, too bad you didn’t get to go with him!!
OKay that loooks fabbbbbulllousss!
My favorite is “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” !!
This granola looks really good! I’ll have to be on the look out for it.
Currently it’s “Move it or lose it”. Partly because it always makes me laugh a little for some reason, partly because it’s a good mantra to have about this time of year…time to get moving, clearing out, cleaning up, getting things done that I’ve put off all winter.
I love that one!
Wow. It looks really good. Where is it available? It sounds like something I’d like to try!
On their website, you can find stores where they are sold at!
Saw Averie’s review of Love Grown the other day and it seems there’s some mutual love in the air for love grown foods! Their flavors sound so good!
They’re awesome! Get your hands on some!
You’re the bee’s knees and you rock my socks.
No, those aren’t my favorite…I mean them for you!!!
I hope lots of companies keep sending you good eats for free.
Except the part where “You never know what you got till it’s gone” … then you are hooked on pricey granola! LOL. Happens to me when stuff goes on sale.
then again…what doesn’t remind you of peanut butter. JK.
It’s the truth. I accept it.
Um, YUM! These flavors sound amazing!
I saw some Love Grown in my grocery store the other day. I need to pick some up!
My favorite is “Be The Ball”. My mom says it to us before ANY sporting event or competition. It’s kind of a joke now!
That looks so good. My fave is ‘When in Rome’ or ‘You can’t enjoy a sunny day, without a couple rainy ones’.
I love granola, and it’s hard to find one that’s actually healthy. Yum!
Love granola! Never tried this kind tho!
mmmm- that granola sounds amazing! I thought the saying was “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going”???? I think you have it backward : )
mmmm- that granola sounds YUM!! I thought the saying was “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going”???? I think you have it backward : )
“If it doesn’t kill you, it just makes you stronger. Just don’t die trying”
hehehe. I just got sent samples too and they are AMAZING. I just had cocoa goodness today….Love it
I like that quote!
Lovegrown? Yes, please!!
I say ‘there’s no time like the present’ way too much (just ask my family)-but it’s true!!
That granola looks amazing! I love all the little clusters. Yum!
That granola looks amazing! I’ll have to see if we have any where I’m from. I don’t really use cliches too often but I like “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.”
Haha - I like that one!
Good granola is few and far between but this looks delicious! I’m loving that Sweet Cranberry Pecan! The chunks in it look so good
I know I use lots of “one-liners” but I can’t think of any right now…Argh!
I teach them to my students a lot and they seem to get a kick out of them.
Girl they just sent me granola this past weekend too! It is so. good. I can’t wait to do my review, let’s just say there is NOT a lot of granola left!
Same here!
My favorite is “all you need is love,” followed by “time heals everything.” The first reminds me to put all the stress and stupid stuff into perspective, and the second reminds me that most of the stuff I freak/get sad about probably won’t matter at all in a year!
Love those two as well!
That granola looks so perfect! I totally agree about clusters being key in a good granola!
I like the one liner “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”!
loveee the clump factor!
DANG i love those almond clusters! and the stats are pretty good! granola is always so high in cals but this aint to bad!
Coconut in granola? Yum! I was searching the pantry today to see if we had any coconut that I could put in my oatmeal. We didn’t
. I’m going to have to search for that granola! Maybe Amazon?
I’ll have to check that out for you!
That looks sooo good! Now I have to check out my local store to see if they carry them!
I’ve never heard of this granola before! Looks fantastic!
All of those granolas look so good! I don’t know which one I’d want to try first. I definitely need clusters in my granola!
That granola looks fab! I’m going to have to keep an eye out for it.
My favorite cliche is “When in Rome”, used when it makes no sense as Ron Burgundy does or “agree to disagree”, also used by Ron. (From the movie Anchorman)
OK so your favorite is the cocoa?? I’ll have to get that one!
Actually, my favorite is the sweet cranberry pecan - but all three are awesome!
Wow that granola looks AMAZING!
Dang!
I don’t know if I have a favorite one liner…. but my LEAST favorite is “No Pain, No Gain.” This is true to a degree, but there are different types of pain!
Holy moses. Must find this granola ASAP!
I’ve heard great things about this granola. Once I’m back on oats I’m totally giving it a try! My favorite saying right now is “Good from far, but far from good” I use it when I have a recipe that takes the prettiest photograph but tastes awful. It happens a lot in my kitchen.
I love when there are whole almonds in granola! Amazing. Yogurt + granola is definitely one of my fave snacks
I love the little clusters in granola (and also in Puppy Chow Chex Mix, but that’s a different story, haha).
My overused phrases? “C’est la vie,” “It takes all kinds to make the world go ’round…”
Overused words? Awkward. Weird. Creepin.
oh my gosh - puppy chow is ridiculous. I love it.
When I was little, my dad would always say “C’est la vie”, and I would respond, “la vie.”
You are so lucky girl!!!
Those granolas sound fabulous!
xoxo
Kathleen
I’m going to keep an eye out for this brand - looks great!
I was on a road trip last weekend and discovered a bag of granola. It was so impressed that I thought, ‘who else will appreciate this delicious discovery’?? Chelsey! It’s called “Kaia Cocoa Bliss” and I have to HIGHLY recommend it - gluten free and so good.
