lazy sunday

I have this dilemma here — you see, I don’t have anything to write about.

I’ve experienced writer’s block before, many times in fact. When writer’s block occurs, I look to my life for some outside for inspiration.

Unfortunately for you (and me), I have nothing to show for my life today. Nothing. Zilch. Zippo. Nadda. In fact, after church today, I made lunch, cleaned up lunch, and then promptly put my rear end on the couch. That was five hours ago, and the only time I have moved is to get a snack and go to the bathroom.

I had big plans today — all of which were accomplished.

1. Watch Modern Family from Wednesday night (hilarious) — CHECK!
2. Take a nap (which was rudely disrupted by the Husband.. twice) — CHECK!
3. Do some online shopping for home decor (much to the Husband’s dismay when he receives the bill in the mail) — CHECK!

I can’t say I’m particularly upset that I have not done anything today. In fact, this might be the best thing that’s happened to me since I got my new running shoes yesterday. The only thing that would have made my day better would be a pair of pajama jeans so I wouldn’t feel like such a lump sitting on this couch.

So here I am, watching Mob Wives, wondering how in the world I have been sucked in to yet another crazy reality TV show and trying to decide on what to make for dinner this upcoming week (suggestions would be appreciated).

Thankfully for you, I have stumbled across a survey. Since I enjoy feeling like I’m in middle school again, I decided you would like to learn more about me.

1. What is your best friend’s Mom’s name? Linda

2. Where is the weirdest place you have a mole? I had a mole on my upper back, right in the middle. It was huge though, so I had it removed a few years ago. Now I have a pirate scar, and I enjoy telling people I was stabbed. They believe me too, except I’m a horrible liar and start to laugh.

3. Who was the hottest teacher you ever had? I don’t really think I’ve ever had a hot teacher to be perfectly honest with you. I’ve only had a few male teachers, and well.. none of them were too attractive. There was this one teacher though who wasn’t mine in high school. He was gorgeous — I stalked him up until last summer when I changed gyms.

4. Have you ever made out in a movie theater? Yes (sorry, Mom).

5. What body part do you wash first? Does my hair count? I shampoo, rinse, condition, wash myself, and then rinse everything. Anyone else?

6. Do you hover over the toilet in public bathrooms? Oh yes. Except if my legs are tired, I’ll line it with the toilet liners or toilet paper.

7. What’s the strangest talent you have? 3 of my fingers are double jointed. I wouldn’t necessarily call that a talent though.

8. Do you have an innie or an outtie? An innie.

9. Do you parallel park or drive around the block? Parallel park — I had to park on the street for 2 years during college, so I’m kind of a pro.

10. Which shoe do you put on first? Whatever one I grab first?

11. Have you ever been cow-tipping or snipe-hunting? Have you?

12. If you had to choose to not ever wash your bed sheets again or not wash your bath towel ever again, which would you rather not wash? Ew, gross! I would say never wash my bath towels. I share a bed with a boy — and they kind of smell.

17. When working out at the gym, do you wear a belt? No?

18. Name something you do when you’re alone that you wouldn’t do in front of others. Well if I told you, it would be just like doing it in front of you!

21. Do you have any strange phobias? No, but when I was younger, I was always afraid that I would be struck by lightning or a plane would crash into the house while I was sleeping. I heard that your body tingles right before lightning strikes you, so I would convince myself my body was tingling and I would roll off of my bed and onto the floor super fast to “avoid getting hit by lightning”. Seriously!?

23. Do you freak out when you feel a sneeze coming on while you’re driving? No, but I used to! Now, I just let it happen.
