wiaw part 203924309841

June 22, 2011

Okay, really I just couldn’t remember what installment of WIAW this really is.

Part of me enjoys the fact that I’m too lazy to look it up in my archives.

Part of me hates the fact that I’m too lazy to look it up in my archives.

Right now, I’m actually not sitting at home typing out exactly what I ate on Wednesday. Because in reality, it is Tuesday evening right now. This is what you’re getting while I’m off riding the many roller coasters at 6 Flags today with my bestie. I hope none of this food reappears at any point throughout the day.

Too much?

Probably.

But that’s why you come back, right? Right.

Breakfast – 7:00 AM

Oh, I don’t know anyone other than me that can get so excited by a bowl of oats. In the bowl:

  • 1 serving whipped banana voluminous oats, served cold
  • cinnamon
  • blueberry compote (blueberries, water, sugar)
  • 1/2 muffin
  • TJ’s Crunchy Flax Peanut Butter

It tastes just as good as it looks.

  Lunch – 12:00 pm

My beet leftovers don’t look quite as good today as they did yesterday in the pictures, wouldn’t you agree? Let’s travel back in time when the photos actually did this recipe justice.

Much better.

Snack – 4:00 pm

This baby speaks for herself. And so do my chipped nails. Husband? Are you reading (not likely)? I want a manicure.

Dinner – 6:15 PM

Let me start by saying I did not enjoy my dinner. It was sad. I usually do when I have this combination, but it just was not the best. I got home from babysitting my niece and nephew with little time to make anything to eat, so I went with something basic to clean out the fridge.

Salad – which I topped with a not so great hummus. Which I promptly threw away because I didn’t like it anymore. Yeah about 2 bites of this ginormous salad was actually eaten.

Followed by a sweet potato and broccoli – which I enjoyed sans the disgusting ketchup I tried. Yuck.

Snack – 8:00 pm

And quite a snack it was.

  • Sunwarrior protein muffin
  • coconut milk ice cream
  • raisins
  • apple slices
  • PB spoon (x2)

A girl has to make up for her horrible dinner somehow.

Come back later today for a video blog tutorial I’m sure everyone will enjoy!

Question: What’s the best thing you’ve even today?

I hate it when I have a disappointing salad (or any meal, for that matter…) - I think your beet dish still looks incredible, I can’t wait to make it.

I just ate a little mini-scone that I made this morning, it was fantastic. It’s the only thing I’ve eaten today, so it wins as the best food of today…

ooo did you make Mama Pea’s recipe? That looked so good!

owlmazing June 22, 2011 at 9:09 am

I actually had the SAME thing happen with a salad I made, I topped it with a very weak hummus and in the end it just tasted nasty and I didn’t eat it! HATE that. Your oats looks awwwesome as well. hope your having fun at 6 flags!

cleaneatingchelsey June 22, 2011 at 7:47 pm

Didn’t it stink?!?! I was so mad I had to make up for it tonight with another one.

I hate when I prepare a dinner I don’t enjoy. I feel like it was such a waste and I rarely go back to make something I’d rather be eating, so I just suck it up and eat a mediocre dinner!

Oh we defintely did that - when we went on Raging Bull, it started downpouring, and we were laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants. I felt like I was in high school. :)

Sunwarrior is delicious, but it’s definitely expensive! If I wasn’t supplied with it by winning a bunch of giveaways, I probably wouldn’t get it!

I get just as excited by a bowl of oats! It’s why I get out of bed in the morning :D That, and coffee, of course… And speaking of oats, my breakfast was the best thing I’ve eaten so far today, because it’s been the only thing ;) … hopefully the rest of the day follows the same path of deliciousness.

Hope you’re having a good time!
