1. Mary Kay Love Lash Mascara
I have been a lover of Mary Kay’s Ultimate Mascara for years now, and when they came out with this new one — I was skeptical. However, it separates lashes and makes your eyelashes super long. I’m a fan.
2. Blueberry Oatmeal Pancakes
These pancakes dominate me each time I have them — they are a recipe of mine that I modified to make better… more to come.
My mailman was finally nice and brought me my copy of P&TY yesterday. Sarah’s cookbook reads like a regular book (which I LOVE!) and I was seriously laughing out loud to many Gigi and Lulu stories last night when I should have been sleeping. If you love Mama Pea’s blog, you’ll love the book.
4. My Puppy
I think the real question is — when did I ever stop loving Charlie? The answer is never, but he’s been really cute lately. Well, I guess his following me around everywhere is cute until I trip over him 10x a day. And him chewing on his blanket and carrying it everywhere is cute until he has red thread in his poop.
5. Amazon Kindle
Loving my birthday present from my parents — I am still waiting on my cover to come, but for now, I’m enjoying the book The Kitchen Daughter.
6. Lindt Dark Chocolate with A Touch of Sea Salt
And I have Gabriela to thank for this — her chocolate stash is real people — and it just so happened there was a large bar of this stuff when I was in NYC. To say that I needed to buy some of this when I got home was an understatement.
7. Faux Leather Planner
I got this planner from Office Depot earlier in the week when I was shopping for school supplies (umm… 3 more weeks until the official first day of school). I have used all kinds of planners — Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, those mini calendars you get for like $3 — and I have hated them all. This planner brings me back to high school with its large spaces for each day, and I love it. I am writing everything down. It was $30, but it was a $30 well spent.

Yes! As a Mary Kay consultant, I’m happy to see that you love Lash Love. It’s new this season and I’m actually not a fan of the other mascaras we carry but do give this one all my praise!
My vice this month? Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter….of course. Yum yum.
I used to be a consultant, but kind of stopped when I started the blog - I loved Ultimate Mascara, but this one takes the cake!

I have to use a “tangible” planner… I can’t do the computer thing! I have a Lilly Pulitzer one that is like yours — big spaces to write down everything!

Your school year starts early! Grade schools don’t start out here until the day after Labor Day. And maybe maybe this year because of budget cuts.. who knows!

I’m loving the fact that my football team’s first game is two weeks from today…IKEA dark chocolate (yes really - it’s the best I’ve ever had!) and Indian food…lots and LOTS of Indian food!
I love that planner! I know Google calendars/iPhone calendars are really popular, but I just can’t do that. There’s something about writing things down that I can’t give up

Ahh, I know, can you believe that its only 3 WEEKS away?! Of course, I have a slightly different perspective… I’m a student, not a teacher. I can’t believe this will be my last year “going back to school”-next year will be COLLEGE. So creepy.
During the school year, my agenda is my life. I cannot function without it. Events, due dates, holidays, homework, workouts… there’s no way I could keep it all straight just in my head!
One thing I’m loving right now is “The Poisonwood Bible” by Barbara Kingsolver. Its the last book for my summer reading and its so intriguing… it seems like something you might like!
College is the BEST!!! So different though!

My dog follows me wherever I got too. Yesterday I stepped on her tail.
But I love it and wouldn’t change her for a second (well, except for when she used to eat books).
I’m loving the library right now. I can search for the book on the online database and if it’s not’s in and can reserve it. All of a sudden I’ll get an e-mail saying “Your book has arrived” and it’s so exciting! And I’m not spending any money.

How does a teacher survive without a planner? I went on strike the first year out of college and said, NO to the planner. The world laughed at me…. I need to find a better one SOOOOON! Maybe if I pray hard enough, God will make these next few weeks feel like two months!

Sitting here with a spoonful of PB and a square of the sea salt chocolate and thought of you. HA! That stuff is good. I’m loving spaghetti with fresh garden zucchini, tomatoes and basil. Mmmmm. I am also loving my me time watermelon the farmer’s market. Oh and morning star grillers with mashed avocado, fresh tomato, and ketchup - grilled veggies on the side.
