fun facts friday … round 5

September 16, 2011

1. I’m doing my Fun Facts Friday post this morning because, well – I’m off on a super top secret mission right now that you don’t get to find out about until later. But it’s exciting, I swear!

2. Yesterday I packed a lunch to bring to school (as always). When I heard some of my other co-workers discussing Chipotle, I couldn’t resist. I had to go. I’m not sorry I did, but my soup is sad it didn’t get eaten.

3. Charlie was a hit at the dog park yesterday. The Husband told me that apparently all the dogs really wanted to love on him. Charlie was a bit taken aback and scared. Needless to say, he is very tired from fighting off all his male suitors.

4. I have run out of granola. I have run out of Greek yogurt. I have run out of sweet bread. I have nothing for my nighttime snacks. It’s time to get on that.

5. Hot coffee has been making me “mmmm” (for real) every morning this week. You have to do what you have to do when you wake up, look at your phone, and see that it is only 37 degrees outside. Um, no thank you. Oh, and by the way – I haven’t bought Starbuck’s since Monday. thankyouverymuch

6. I get sad when I haven’t gotten a package in the mail for a while. I was thinking about it as there have been a lull of the number of packages that have been arriving at my doorstep lately. Feel free to send something over. The end.

7. If I were stuck on a deserted island and could only bring three foods, I would have to pick peanut butter, oatmeal, and sweet potatoes. Ask me again tomorrow and it might be different.

8. I am itching to get all my fall decor up in the house. Now if I could only find the box all of it is in. Minor details.

9. TGIF!

I like days when things come up and I don’t eat the lunch I brought to work - it’s all ready to go the next day! :)

TGIF indeed! Coffee in colder weather always makes me “mmm” too ;)

Coffee has been making me go ‘mmm’ all week long as well! And I’m exactly the same about #7! Have an awesome weekend! :)

Tiff @ Love Sweat and Beers September 16, 2011 at 8:06 am

I’ve had sweet potatoes, oatmeal, and pb every day so far this week. None of them have gotten old yet. :)

I wish I could have coffee. I have a crazy burn on my mouth from the McD’s coffee I had Wednesday. Seriously, this is getting old.

Great job on the Starbucks! I haven’t bought since Monday either! I agree with the coffee thing, this cooler weather in the mornings makes me love my coffee even more :)

Your sister is having her baby, isn’t she?!?! :) (top secret mission, am I right?!)
Mmmmmm, coffee. We are working on analogies at school…. Here is my analogy
Coffee:teacher :: water:fish —Coffee is to teacher as water is to fish.
True? ….Happy Friday!

Wow I think I’d probably pick the same thing if I were stranded on a deserted island!

Katie @ Peace Love and Oats September 16, 2011 at 9:28 am

37??? It must be colder in the suburbs than the city because its was 48 early this morning when I checked! haha and my favorite foods change just about every day too!

I’m not ready for the cold temps yet either! Fall weather, yes, but it felt like winter was just around the corner this morning! 39 degrees here (in Minnesota)

I would NEVER pass up Chipotle. Vegan baby-sized burrito? Yes please. Even if my stomach isn’t happy after I eat a baby-sized burrito. I usually get over my need for a package with free 2 day shipping from Amazon. It’s an addiction.

It hasn’t even hit 55* here yet today (It was 80* yesterday). Love fall, don’t love New England temperature swings.

37 degrees? Jealous! Seriously…it’s in the 90′s here. I hate Florida. #sorryimnotsorry ;)

If by “love”, you mean…ahem…looooooove, then tell poor Charlie that unfortunately it wasn’t his sex appeal. Those were just rude, bossy dogs. Ha!

If I was stuck on a deserted island I think I would have to bring coconuts, Cinnamon Life cereal and peanut butter…mm that sounds like a good combination now that i think about it!

Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin September 16, 2011 at 11:01 am

No granola or Greek yogurt?? I think I would be panicking! Those foods are daily staples for me… sometimes twice daily! :P

Have fun tonight, whatever it is that you’re doing!

I need to go grocery shopping as well. No more cottage cheese doubles here or fruit. I’m going crazy

I love snail mail too! Such a day brightener :) I had to laugh when you said fall decor. It used to be my favorite time to decorate my house when I lived in the Midwest. Now, it hasn’t even crossed my mind because the colors aren’t really changing here in Vegas. Fall & spring were my favorite seasons back home!

37 degrees?! I’m whimpering over our 50 some degrees! gosh..

okay, onto my 23rd cup of hot coffee for the day.

I seriously adore Chipotle, too, and reading this made me sad that I don’t live near one anymore. Maybe this calls for an impromptu trip to the city this weekend! :)

I think my Starbucks free streak is about to end because I forgot to make coffee this morning. Can I come to your deserted island? I’ll bring some bananas and chocolate and I think we will have the fab 5 of food.

“Now if I could only find the box all of it is in.” — STORY OF MY LIFE!!! You and me both girl — good luck with that:)

Also, I just started a giveaway (http://tinyurl.com/638j7sk) for a $10 Hawai’i Starbucks Card — and I know you shouldn’t drink coffee, but if you won, maybe it’d be a good thing to have on hand for “those days”! =D

I’m definitely putting up all my fall decor today! Although I already have a “fall” runner on the dining room table… Even if it is supposed to be 80+* this weekend.

Lindsay @ Lindsay's List September 16, 2011 at 1:30 pm

All my fall stuff is packed away at my mom’s house. Which seems to be the catch-all for things that I don’t have room for at my house. Like prom dresses, old Precious Moments figurines, and college textbooks.

Wanna do a package exchange?

Who can resist Chipotle is the real question?! Joey would have been disappointed in you if you had turned it down.

P.S. Starbucks misses you.
