I love love love getting mail. But to put it simply, I was starting to get sad for the lack of packages that have been coming my way as of late. There is nothing more exciting than coming home and opening a brand spankin’ new package just for me. There, I said it. I love presents. Sorry I’m not sorry.
A very special blogging friend (and well, friend in general) and I talked about doing a package swap last week. (Not) to my surprise (because I knew it was coming), I found this package on my front stoop yesterday when I got home!
Any takers on who it might be from?

Looks good, doesn’t it? This package in particular came from the lovely Tina over at Faith, Fitness, Fun!
I could get all sorts of emotional on you right now and tell all about just how inspiring of a woman Tina is. You know how you have friends that you just absolutely knew it was fate for you to meet and become friends with? Tina is one of those people. We constantly joke and laugh about just how many things we have in common and how similar of people we are.
Despite the fact that Tina and I have never met (although there could have been quite an uncanny meet up for us back in May but unfortunately it fell through – rats!), I consider her one of my very good friends. She is always there for me to lend an ear or give me advice throughout any of my struggles in life. And heck, her kids are pretty darn cute too. What did people do to meet friends before the internet was available? Yeah, I don’t know either.
The package was filled to the brim with goodies, and what Tina selected to give to me just goes to show just how much she knows me!
Some chocolate bars to unwind after a long day at school…
A pretty new bowl for oatmeal eating and bright yellow measuring cups…
Two new bowls with awesome designs for some large and in charge salad eating…
And… a $7 gift card to Starbuck’s – you know, to match the money I made doing dirty dishes last week.
You better believe I have already used that Starbuck’s card (Hey, it is National Coffee Day!), and the oatmeal bowl holds the perfect amount.
Thanks, Tina, for making my day a little brighter yesterday (and every day!). You’re the best!
Question: What is the last package you received in the mail?

That’s incredibly sweet
I know what you mean about getting packages. I work at home and anytime I see the UPS, Fedex or mailman come up my driveway I get giddy with excitement.
I love mail too! Especially fun packages like that!!
That package would have made my day, too! How fun. I love those yellow measuring cups!
Tina is a doll.
I have had the pleasure of meeting her and I can tell you for certain that she is just as sweet in person as she appears.
Tina is such an awesome woman and what’s a pretty snazzy package you got…I’d do anything for a piece of that white choc/coconut bar right about now
Awww….that is so sweet! I’m always amazed at the friends we make through the internet
I just got some mail love from a giveaway I one! Goodies galore haha
HOW SWEET!!! She does know you well! ….My last package sucked- medicine with needles. ugh! Oh well, they will help me…. So, silver lining right now—- YAY!!!
How awesome! Tina is a beautiful person! I was lucky to meet her at HLS, and knew in person she would be just as sweet and down to earth as she is on her blog! She is a beautiful person inside and out!
What a nice package to get from her! Its amazing the great friends I have made through blogging, I feel very blessed, just a simple comment makes my day every day!
xoxo <3
That is a very, very sweet package! Love Tina’s blog. And I love getting packages!! Especially ones that I didn’t order from Amazon for myself, haha. Very cool.
The last delivery I received was a boring box from Amazon. Not as exciting! hehe
I love Tina’s blog, she’s absolutely inspirational.
I just got a package in the mail today of some new black winter boots I recently ordered. I do refuse to wear them for at least another month though. I’m not ready to admit the weather is getting nasty (Minnesota winters are no fun-but I know Illinois’ aren’t either!)
Yay! I love boots - what kind did you get?
like Ugg boots, black and fuzzy/cozy, but a cheaper brand : )
What a sweetie she is! Getting stuff in the mail is the bomb.
How sweeet! Blogger friends make the best friends
Oh my gosh, lucky! I’m pretty sure the only packages I receive are things I order from Amazon and those are far and in between
That is so sweet! I think Tina is such a great girl just by reading her blog everyday…so down to earth and honest! It is funny how great of friends bloggers can become with never actually meeting!
who doesn’t love packages!?!? My best friend from high school sends me a package every couple months or so - always filled with home-baked goodies and a few amusing items! Last time she included a Disney Princess tupperware container!
That’s so sweet!
Who doesn’t love getting mail and packages?
This is super cute, such a great idea!
you both are amazing women! so encouraging. What a great LOVE package friend.
Thanks Lindsay!
Mail is the BEST! (And so is Tina!) You two are so cute.
I keep getting donations to CCFA in the mail, and that makes me happy. My last package was something I purchased, but it was my I Heart Sweat shirt from Ali on the Run, and it was so awesome it felt like a gift even thought I paid for it.
If we’re counting things I’ve bought, books from Amazon. From other people? Hmmm…. My mom sent me a copy of “Follow That Bird” a few months ago because it was my favorite as a kid and they had it for $5 at Target
What a fantastic package!! I still need to try the sea salt chocolate. I just ordered some stuff on Amazon, so package for me tomorrow!
It’s my FAVORITE!
PETER!!!!! He joked about slipping a business card in my package! I didn’t think he was serious. I promise I’m not a tool. LOL
So glad you loved it all!! Love you!
hahahaha I officially <3 your husband.
What a sweet lady!! Do you know - I might get to meet her TOMORROW!! If all goes well, we’re having coffee in ATL!!
I’m officially jealous. Go ahead, rub it in my face.
aww what a great package!! we are new to Tina’s blog, but we can already tell how amazing she is
The last thing I package I got was a bunch of books I ordered myself on Amazon. It is still as exciting to get something in the mail that you ordered for yourself, I say.
Yay! I love books - what did you get?
what an awesome sweet surprise!!! I haven’t received anything in my mail box as of last; HOWEVER, I have been sending out several awesome goodie boxes myself! Sometimes that is more fun than receiving. Not really, but super close - ha! =D
So what did you get at Starbucks?
I try to make it last - if it’s just a normal day, I”ll get a coffee with way exxtra soy. On other days I’ll get a Soy Misto.
my last blog post was about the last packages I received! I love getting mail as well!
I love getting mail too! (as long as it’s not a bill haha) and I love Tina, she’s noe of my favorite bloggers!
haha - the Husband HATES going through the mail since he is the one who deals with the bills.
Gah! This looks so awesome! I want a pen-pal who will send me prezzies! I’m pretty sure the last package I received was my new Carpe Diem Toms shoes and a grey Toms T-shirt. Love. Of course, I paid for them, so I’d better…
Lucky! I want a pair of TOms… but won’t spend the money!
Woah woah woah, hold the phone right there…Lindt do White Coconut???? Why am I only NOW hearing about this :-O!
Tina is such a sweetheart! And definitely someone I look up to. Isn’t it amazing how bloggers can touch each other’s lives without even having met?
Yes!
That so nice! the last package I received in the mail was from SO Delicious! I cannot wait to try there yogurts!
Food in the mail is always good!
What an awesome package! That oatmeal bowl is super cute. And of course you can never go wrong with chocolate.
I don’t even remember the last package I got in the mail!
That’s so sweet! I love receiving mail too and - apart from bills - it just doesn’t happen that much in today’s electronic world. But the last package I received in the mail were some goodies from a company for a post I’m putting up on Monday, so that was very exciting!! Though still not as exciting as that lovely package
.
I love getting post, and who wouldn’t when the parcel includes that extensive list of goodies! We don’t have the white coconut chocolate here! I would imagine it’s amazing! I’m a big Lindt fan, next time in the US I’ll have to hunt it down!
I hardly ever get packages either - boo
Mail is so awesome. Sometimes I wonder if my kids someday will ever know what it is like to get mail because it seems to be less and less existant! My grandma sends me a card for every single holiday and I just love that. It is wonderful how something so simple can brighten a person’s day. The last thing I got in the mail was my first bag of Sunwarrior!
I love the oatmeal bowl! A blogger gift swap is a great idea! It reminds me of the penpals I had when I was little..I love getting mail
Tina is awesome. Great goodies!
Love the bowl and yellow measuring cups… Anything bright with a pop of color is always fun in the kitchen! Since moving to Trinidad, I never get packages anymore…its a bit sad…but I have to get over it - I live on an island…I guess I can live with no packages…
xoxo from Trinidad
