scenes from saturday

October 2, 2011

Yesterday was the perfect fall day. It was cool, crisp, and filled with fun activities. It was, however, jam packed – so enjoy some almost wordless scenes from Saturday, most of which are from my phone!

I basically worked all Saturday! But I definetly hit up a Starbucks for the Pumpkin Spiced Latte :)

cheap man’s latte = I love that! And I pretty much drink a little coffee with my cream most cups :)

Your niece…not sure if she’s on your side of the family rather than your hubs but pretty sure she is b/c she looks so much like you…a little flashback to teenage Chelsey I’m thinking :)

cleaneatingchelsey October 2, 2011 at 1:13 pm

It is so funny you said that about my niece because she is actually my sister’s step-daughter, so she is not related to me at all but through pure love. :)

We always get mistaken for mother/daughter when we are out. She thinks this is hilarious so she will call me “mom” on purpose just so people will think this. She is a hoot.

Your S-Bux has soy creamer? Love that!

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey October 2, 2011 at 1:14 pm

no - it’s really just soy milk haha - but on my label they call it “soy creamer”

Fun fall stuff! I love the change from summer to fall more than any other time of year. I’m at home from college over the weekend so yesterday I visited grandparents, went to a 4-year-old cousin’s Super Hero birthday party, and went grocery shopping too. I’m most excited about my pumpkin-spice coffee and pumpkin salsa, which I didn’t know existed!

Looks like a nice day! I got a spinning class in and spent some much needed time at home catching up on all the things I had put off during the week. (mostly cleaning!)

Laura @ LauraLikesDesign October 2, 2011 at 8:10 am

I just tried brussel sprouts for the first time this past week and loved them! Your Fall wreath is so cute-did you make it?!

Saturday consisted of:
baking pumpkin muffins
wedding cake tasting appointment
running errands
assembling table centerpiece decorations
making chicken noodle soup from scratch
gym time

cleaneatingchelsey October 2, 2011 at 1:14 pm

I didn’t make it - I got it at Kohl’s for like $12 after all sorts of discounts, but I’m thinking you could make it for about the same amount!

Looks like an awesome day! :) My fridge is beginning to look like yours… I need a grocery trip!

I cannot believe you found GF oats for $4!! That is a big bag too!

Oh boy that salad looks good! Your niece is adorable! My Saturday involved a quickie workout followed by work all day and then my cousins party at night! I only ended up getting in bed at 5am. Because I am 23 going on to 83, I am unable to sleep in and was hence awake at 8am…dead today!

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey October 2, 2011 at 1:17 pm

Oh yeah. That’s not so good for this grandma! I was in bed at 11:30 and am zonked today!

Omg- so. many. groceries. Your fridge looks better than mine, though! I think the contents are currently: butter, wine, and frosting. Priorities…

I worked half of Saturday and spend the other half doing laundry/cooking/cleaning/on Pinterest. :)

LOVE your red door! It looks so inviting! …..I had to go to the dr. (again!) and then in the evening it was a 10 year class reunion for the husband! He robbed the cradle, yes he did!
PS- thanks for your comment of understanding on what I’m going through, it means a lot. You’re the best, Chelsey! I appreciate your encouragement. For real. :)

Thanks! I love my red door too. I have always wanted one.

Crossing my fingers that the doctor’s visit went well. You are more than welcome, Julie - I haven’t had to go through the heartbreak of using any drugs yet, and I’m praying we won’t have to.. but at the route I’m at right now, it’s looking like that. :(

You just found out about the TJ’s oats?! That $3 in savings from Bob’s oats totally equals and extra Starbucks :)

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey October 2, 2011 at 1:20 pm

I found out about them about a month or so ago, but I had bought my last order of oats in bulk online, so I had to wait until they were gone to go out and buy them!

My Saturday was full of my working on my thesis in the morning, then heading to work for a short shift, then coming home and working on my thesis :\ However, I managed a trip to Starbucks… ;D (namely because I WORK there… but I managed to pick a treat for myself just the same!).

I baked all weekend; gonna have a baking-heavy week on the blog. Trying out all different recipes with stevia as I have my first giveaway today! So it was pretty busy, baking, taste testing and photographing. I didn’t mind the tasting part ;) .
