a package of love

Nothing else can cure a rainy and gloomy day quite like a package from Love Grown!

October 17, 2011 001
Okay, so in reality, I got this package yesterday. Yesterday was sunny and beautiful — chilly, but gorgeous. A perfect fall day. So when I got home yesterday and saw this box of sunshine on my front porch stoop, I kind of felt like my life was complete — just like I’m going to feel when I get my macro and zoom lenses for Christmas (hint hint, nudge nudge family).

As mentioned before, I have teamed up with Love Grown (along with many other amazing bloggers) and am sporting the Love Blogger title — what does that mean? Well, part of it is making sure I have a little love in my life. And boy oh boy, was I feeling the love when I got my package yesterday.

October 17, 2011 003
I was sent a package of each one of the flavors to munch on throughout the fall months — in case you’re unaware, Love Grown is the best. Seriously and 100% hands down the best granola in the world.

It’s gluten free, doesn’t have any preservatives, has no refined sugar, and is really the most pure granola I have ever tasted in my life.

October 17, 2011 007
Loving the top of their packaging too — it makes the product so personalized!

October 17, 2011 006
Sorry Alex and Maddy, but I ripped your faces off to get to the goods. I hope you don’t mind.

I told myself I was allowed to open one bag at a time. I love all of the varieties, so if I opened them all at once, they would basically be gone within a week — okay, maybe three days. Who do you think I am? I never promised anyone that I had amazing self control when it comes to granola.

So, what flavor did I open first? It HAD to be my favorite — I’m not one of those “save the best for last kind of girls”.

October 17, 2011 010
Sweet Cranberry Pecan!

I can’t know what it is about this flavor, but it makes me go “mmm” every time I eat it — and I’m not big on onomatopoeia phrases to describe how I feel about food. Please never say “nom nom” around me. Please.

When I was carefully placing these bags into my pantry (out of the sight of others because I don’t know how to share food), I noticed the expiration date hanging out on the top of the packages.

October 17, 2011 012
Um, I’m sorry, but this granola won’t even make it until November 11th let alone April 11th. It’s good to know it has a six month shelf life, but I won’t be needing it — no siree.

And lucky for me, I felt some love with the great stickers they sent me as well (and magnets that are hanging out on my fridge!). I have the same message for you.

You’re my favorite, and you look good. Thanks for always being here.

Question: What was something that helped to brighten your day today?

I was just sent some Love Grown last week and it was my first time trying it….let’s just say I’m hooked and in love with it! That stuff is seriously awesome! Something that helped brighten my day today was getting an email from a company saying that they liked my blog and wanted to send me something to review…so cool! :D

Lol I’ve had a rough day, but the good part was getting to watch students from my school do moot court (fake arguing in front of the supreme court) in front of justice Scalia, who is actually on the US Supreme Court! I felt nervous for them though!

That granola looks really good, I love cranberries, so that’s the one I’d probably open first too.

Going for a walk this morning with the dog brightened my day.

Ahhh what an awesome surprise! I need to get my hands on some of this granola, everyone raves about it.

My day got brighter when I decided to make dinner instead of having leftovers and it turned out delicious!

A freshly drawn picture from a 3rd grade student…. it had rainbows! :)
—I don’t know how to share food either. Uh-oh. Sorry mom. Epic fail when it comes to sharing chocolate and granola and carrots.

I’ve never had that granola before, it sounds good! What brightened my day was the great workout I just completed! I didn’t feel like going to the gym, but I’m glad I did.

Love Grown granola is the best! I’m obsessed with it. The stickers are super cute, too.

A fall package from my mom made my day. There wasn’t any Love Grown granola in it, but she did sent me some roasted pumpkin seed and banana bread. :) Gotta love moms!

This might sound silly but grocery shopping on my lunch break made my day a little bit better. There are lots of things that can brighten up a day that was mostly spent sitting in front of a computer….

Okay I’ve been scouting for a new granola for my yogurt bowls - I’m adding it to the list.

I had the worst day on my clinical rotation (I’m a medical student) - disaster wrong answers, crying so hard I got a bloody nose and it ended up all over my dress etc. and my roommate bought me chocolate and wrote me an encouraging note. It’s always nice to be reminded you’re loved.

You have much more self control than I do! I have one bag of each flavor in my cabinet, they are all open, and mostly gone.

Reply

Alyssa @ Life of bLyss October 19, 2011 at 11:00 am

I was so. flipping. excited. to get this package on my front step yesterday! I’ve gotta say, the cocoa goodness is still my favorite.

I had to sample them all right away. cause I have little to no self control.
