Happy Hump Day! (Does anyone else get a little weirded out by that phrase like me?) For some reason, this week has been flying by, which is odd since last week was a shortened week and took forever.
So here’s the deal. Usually on Wednesday mornings, I tell you about all my meals I ate the day before, and you “ooh and aah” over everything I ate. I’m about to turn the tables on you though. We’re going to be playing a different “What I Ate Wednesday” game today. Instead of me telling you what I ate, you are going to have to use your brains and draw conclusions about what I ate based off of my pictures (am I a teacher or what?).
Are you ready?
Breakfast – 5:45 AM
Lunch – 11:15 AM
A lot of you have been asking how in the world I make it from breakfast until lunch without having a morning snack. To be honest with you, I will sometimes have a morning snack. However, most mornings are so insane that I don’t even think to use the bathroom let alone put something else in my stomach. Fifth grade is pretty intense these days.
Dinner – 6:00 PM
with a side of…
… and maybe some dark chocolate
Snack – 8:30 PM
Notice the chip in my favorite coffee mug? ::tear::
Pick a meal – what did I eat?

snack! almonds and raisins
such a cop out… but i think i’m right!
hahaha! You grabbed the easy one!
QUINOA BREAD WITH DINNER…sorry for yelling
It’s okay - could you use your inside voice next time?
Ha! Yes, Ms Chelsey! I can totally tell you are a teacher- I’ll draw conclusions and use logical reasoning too—— “Using previous breakfasts as collected data, I’m predicting your breakfast is: pumpkin oats with a cut up apple, cinnamon, peanut butter, and craisins on top.”
ding ding ding - we have a winner! haha!
lunch was leftover butternut squash pancakes with roasted brussel sprouts and broccoli!
Ha I love this! Breakfast- oatmeal with pumpkin and apple slices stirred in, a dash of cinnamon and topped with Peanut butter and craisins!
Whatever your nighttime snack was, it looks awesome!
Lunch?! Haha everything looks great though
I wanna give dinner a go! I’m a brave soul, I know.
Was it some sort of cabbage soup with stewed tomatoes, butternut squash, and onion?
very close!
Your lunch totally looks like pumpkin pancakes. I’m not sure if you’d eat that with broccoli and brussel sprouts?! That would be my guess though
Definitely pumpkin oats and your squash cakes for breakfast and lunch!
Butternut squash pancakes with roasted veggies for lunch!
I’m guessing your night time snack was some kind of cereal and milk? Judging by your awesome delivery earlier in the week I’m going to take an educated guess at Love Grown granola? Maybeeee sweet cranberry pecan?
I actually never eat a snack in between breakfast or lunch either, unless Im hungry for one, which I never am!
Happy Wednesday love!!
Was your late night snack love grown granola with almond milk and a scoop offff peanut butter???
Ummm… good stuff?
ha. Quinoa corn bread - I’m not surprised to see that again
Mmm is that a cabbage veggie soup? I love cabbage soup…guess that’s the Polish in me!
cabbage soup with quinoa bread for dinner! and the left over butternut squash pancakes with roasted brussel sprouts and an apple for lunch! haha looks yummmy!
I could take the easy way out and guess your breakfast (voluminous oats with pumpkin, banana, cranberries, & apples), but I thought I’d challenge myself a little and guess your lunch. Aren’t I a good student?!
I’m going to guess it is your leftover butternut squash pancakes with roasted brussel sprouts, broccoli, and an apple on the side.
You are hilarious! I am guessing BREAKFAST!! PS I could not agree more with you about hump day ha!
I agree - no idea what your evening snack was but I *want* it!!!!
that phrase TOTALLY wierds me out too
Looks great! Everytime I eat raisins + almonds I think of you haha… I could imagine it’s very intense being a teacher to a bunch of grade 5 students. My gosh. My Aunt teaches the same grade and she always has to be turned “on” at all times.
oh yes - there is no down time on the job!
Haha, see the first line of my post today for my thoughts on the “hump day” expression. We think alike
I think the side is the quinoa corn bread, no?
sure is! <3 that stuff!
ALL looks so good!!
I think I read your blog too much. I recognized everything in your day except the night-time snack, based on picture recognition or previous posts! Dinner is your “Loaded Cabbage Soup.”
Yum Yum Yum!!
hmmm…I’m going to go with the breakfast of pumpkin stuff…thus prolonging our inside joke.

hahaha! I saw your post this morning - so funny!
I am going to go with cabbage soup for dinner…..and cereal for night snack with a side spoon of nut butter?????
You’re good!
lunch! Butternut squash pancakes!
No idea, but the last one looks like my sometimes-evening snack, which is probably a lot grosser than yours. I have this really weird habit of crumbling up a VitaMuffin into a glass of milk and eating it like it’s cereal.
OK, I know I just grossed everyone out and that was a MAJOR confession for me to make but it’s SO good! So like comfort food… anyway, it looks like that but I’m sure yours isn’t nearly as weird
.
haha I do that with muffins and sweet breads all the time.
No way! I thought I was the only one. You’ve made me feel way better
I could totally cheat and just read what everyone else wrote and may you think I’m brilliant, or I could just say, “Have a good Wednesday!!!”
I hope you had a good Wednesday too!
“Hump day”…makes me think of people..Wednesdaying. Yuck.
blech.
I think all of your meals have been pretty much summed up:) I’m sorry to hear about your chipped cup. It gives it character.
Except for your snack, I think I could name every single thing you ate, which either means A) I read your blog religiously B) I’m super creepy C) That loaded cabbage soup has been in my “to make” folder for at least a year or D) All of the above.
I’m going with D. Happy WIAW.
I like that you A) read my blog religiously B) are super creepy (but not really) C) have been meaning to make that soup (and you should) and D) I love you.
Dinner: Some sort of cabbage soup with cornbread sans corn?
Fun game!
You definitely love your oats!
I would love your oats as well because they always look amazing!
I want your lunch whatever it actually is. I see brussel sprouts and broccoli which I love.
Haha, I was just wondering what those amazing baked squares are and am happy that there were some foodies before who already guessed right - now I only have to find the recipes. Quinoa corn bread … hm just too tempting to resist!
I don’t know what that side-bread is, but it looks goood! Cornbread of some sort?
My guesses:
Breakfast: pumpkin gluten free oats with chopped apple and crasins, cinnamon and PB
Lunch: The yummy butternut squash pancakes, roasted veg and nooch
Snack:almonds and raisins, obviously
Dinner: cabbage veg soup with side of noncornbread
Snack:almond Butter with milk and love grown? granola?
That was all probably unnecessary but it was fun all the same
I love the “nocornbread” title!
you are such a nerd i love it. ummm…your snack was almonds and raisins. <-genius alert
Your lunch looks like salmon cakes…but I don’t think it is..hm?
Dinner…veggie soup
I BROKE my favourite coffee mug the other day
I was super sad.
Yours is lovely though, but I often wonder how glass coffee mugs never smash?
Not sure whats all in it but the cabbage soup looks yummy!
I just found a chip in my favorite bowl and I swear I sat down and shed a tear. So sad. lol
Your lunch looks exactly like some chickpea and chilli cakes that I normally make!
