You probably thought I forgot to say “rabbit rabbit” this morning, didn’t you? I could lie and say yes, but the truth is I wanted to start November off with a bang in the recipe department. Did you see that lasagna? No? Go check it out.
I feel like October came and went just as quickly as the other months in 2011 have. However, it may have been my very favorite month of the year thus far. Fall smells, fall flavors, fall activities — it just couldn’t be beat. Especially since I wasn’t hit with a freak snowstorm. Thank you, Chicago.
October was a big recipe month on CEC. The majority of which included some sort of squash (can you blame me?). I would like to tell you the squash has seen its last day, but that would be a lie since I have over 10 pounds of squash sitting on my counter right now. Sorry I’m not sorry.
In case you were overwhelmed by all of the wonderful recipes out there this month (um, I sure was — so many great things being made!), I thought I would round up some of the most popular recipes that I featured in October.
Slow Cooker Butternut Squash and Apple Soup

I want to live in October forever… or just continue to eat foods I made in October. November always brings a busy time for me — first report cards of the year and conferences are right around the corner. Bring it on, November. I better get some snow this month.
