1. In case you were wondering if you spotted my lie on 3 truths, 1 lie - and for those of you who were concerned about poor old Duffy, I have to tell you that that was the truth. He really did eat too many socks and basically killed himself – it happens. Remember when I freaked out because Charlie ate my black socks last winter? I told you the Duffy story then too. Crazy dogs! I’ve gotten over it in the past 14 years, but I can’t say I’m fully recovered. This was the actual lie.
2. I joined fifth grade crochet club today. It’s pretty much even more amazing than it sounds in case you are wondering. One of my students taught me how to slipknot and start a chain. Aaaand one of my fifth grade parents was my instructor as well. I wish I could say I am a rock star, but I’m thinking it’s going to take a lot of time. A. Lot. Of. Time
3. I did this workout recommended by this lady today. My heart rate was skyrocketing the entire time. Holy heavy breathing.
4. Would you still be my friend if I told you I was super pumped to go see Breaking Dawn with my mom tonight? Because I am going. And I am pumped.
5. Speaking of dates with my mom, I’m so excited - I feel like we haven’t done anything just the two of us for a really long time. We’re going to get gluten free pizza before the movie. I’m going to be the happiest girl in the world tonight.
6. Real Pit Bulls wear argyle. Just sayin’.
7. My running buddy is basically being a life saver and meeting me at 7 tomorrow morning to do seven miles before our 5K at 9. I <3 her. Thanks, Katie!
8. I only have to work two days next week. Hallelujah!

Next week we have a full day Monday (+parent/teacher conferences after school), 1/2 day with the students Tuesday (+ conferences all afternoon AND night…ugh) & AM in-service on Wednesday… but then we have Thursday-Monday OFF… wahooo!

My grandma taught me to crochet a long time ago. I can do two basic stitches and I have only ever made potholders. Maybe I should break the yarn back out and give it another shot!
