1. I just finished running 11 miles on the treadmill. Seriously, who does that? Apparently running a half marathon in January seemed like a good idea at the time, but now that it’s December I am kicking myself at the thought because long runs on Friday night are not conducive to half marathon training.
2. No, the half marathon is not in Illinois. Orlando here I come! More specifically, Disneyworld here I come!!
3. I have 14 more weekday morning wakeups until Winter Break. I think I can, I think I can…
4. I’m really hoping Santa got my Christmas list because Chelsey really wants those Uggs and Wunder Unders. #selfish
5. I figured out why I was so darn exhausted for three out of the five days I have woken up this week. All three days were days I woke up at 4:15 to go work out. The other two days I woke up at five, I felt relatively normal. All signs point to no more working out? Not so much. Hmm… we’ll need to work on some kind of schedule change.
6. All I want to do is bake Christmas cookies but I’m either a) too busy or b) too tired when I get home. Such is the life.
7. I about died laughing reading this article this morning.
8. We went out for Mexican last night after a holiday party for the Husband’s business colleagues and I think I am still full… except, now I’m not because I originally wrote that statement around 3:00 today and now it is 6:00 and I just ran 11 miles.
9. I really want a bagel right now. Like, really. Now.
10. I am looking forward to being done showering so I can curl up on my couch with Netflix and watch Miracle on 34th Street.
11. More people who joined in on the Fun Fact Friday tradition — go read hers and hers.
12. We’ve got a dancer on the loose folks.
13. Speaking of things on the loose, it’s a good thing I was running on the treadmill and not outside in the dark tonight. There was a escaped convict roaming around my town this afternoon — okay, let me rephrase that — they haven’t found him. I can’t make this stuff up.
14. Happy Friday!

Oh my god, that article! Tamagotchi (or however you spell it)…I had completely forgotten about those things. I was OBSESSED!
haha I was too!!!
I didnt know that FFFriday was a thing… sort of like WIAW?
I need to try it next week!
Happy weekend
I don’t think it really is a thing. I’m not cool enough for that. But have fun on your trip!!
Are you doing the princess half? I can’t remember if that one is in January or not
I’m doing the World Half on January 7!
one of these Fridays, I’ll have to join in! Good luck on your race
I am glad you ran inside then!! Treadmill runs aren’t so bad if you watch a movie while running—it actually makes me want to run longer. Hah
I was watching the news because it was what was on the TV’s - my gym doesn’t have the individual TV’s on the treadmills. Stupid.
I thought it was a good idea to train for a marathon during a midwest winter. enter 17 miles on a treadmill. I’m insane.
yikes. My knees were killing me after the first 8 miles. It was painful!
The question is: Are YOU gonna step up to my dance off challenge? You gonna “Step Up”?
mm probably not hahaha!!!
Totally with you on the cookie baking! My dilemma though is that my roommate left my cookie sheet at a potluck and has yet to retrieve it…grrrr……
oh no! Thankfully my roommate is my husband and he doesn’t set one foot in the kitchen. ever.
Glad you survived the run. Hope you’re chilling now!
Chilling ensued - and about a half hour after you left me that comment, i fell asleep.
Daaang props to you on that treadmill run! I actually ran 9 miles on the treadmill before. It wasn’t tooo bad but by the time I hit 9 miles, I just wanted to be done.
Number 6, my life. Number 7, same here. And number 3, I cannot agree more!
I think I may do the princess half (i’m training for it). Wish we were doing the same one!
11 miles on the treadmill!!! That is an accomplishment! I HATE treadmill running!
You are awesome for those eleven miles! It definitely takes some perseverance to accomplish that!!! I’m sure that Disney World will be worth it though!
Oh it sure will be!!!
Way to go on the 11 miles! Just over 6 miles was the max of my mental capacity today!
ahh! when is your half?
that article is hilarious! I never thought that at the ripe old age of 23 I would feel like I have lived through so much! I almost feel old
January 7!
Wunder Unders are on my Christmas wishlist too!
Hahaha loved that article. It’s so true about the Beanie Babies - even as a kid I never understood why other kids would throw tantrums when their tags got ruined. They were just a toy!
11 miles?! Congrats! Haha
Fun Post
Way to go on the run. I’d be going out of my mind! haha
Wow!!!! That’s a long time on the treadmill!! Way to go!! I usually can last 2 miles max before wanting to stick my fingers in my eyeballs and swirl them all around
You’re a rockstar!
xxoo
miracle on 34th street + a glass of pinot noir + pug slippers + my real pug = perfection! i will copy your friday on my saturday (tonight). x
Wow, 11 miles?! That’s amazing! Your relaxing plan sounds fabulous! I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but I’ve never even seen Miracle on 34th Street… yeah, I’m a nobody.. So that will be a def. must this Christmas (plus the regular It’s a Wonderful Life and White Christmas) Have a great weekend!
I envy you, because I wanna run so bad, NOW.
I have a weekday countdown until Christmas break going too… I love it
11 miles on the treadmill? That would be a record for me! What’s your trick for not getting bored?
Some things seem so great at the time you say “yes”— and then it sneaks up on you like BAM I’M HERE! and you have no choice….. You will do great in January! That warmer weather will pep you up like it is nobody’s business!
Seriously Chelsey, I can’t get over how early you get up in the morning!! I have been thinking I might have to get up earlier to get in some exercise before kids get up and the morning madness before school and work begins - but 4.15 !!!!
Thanks for your blog, Chelsey! I’ve had stomach/digestive issues the past few years and I just started a gluten free diet and feel better already. I’ll be looking to your blog for recipes and ideas!
oh my gosh that 90s article was awesome!
nsync all the way baby.
those tomodachi things were so weird. i wonder if they have an iphone app for that?
oh, and kyle and i watched boy meets world last week. it was on at 6 am and we were both awake and the tv was slim pickins at that hour…not that we need an excuse to watch, but, yeah, we actually kinda do.
