a trip down baking memory lane

December 17, 2011

I don’t know when it happened, but I have slowly been losing my mind for the past couple of years. And by losing my mind, I mean my memory. I haven’t gone crazy on you all or anything. When I was younger, I seriously remembered anything and everything (which was probably something that made my parents go crazy since they couldn’t get away with fibbing to me). Now that I’m getting older, I only remember stupid things too late — like remembering my school keys are in a different bag when I’m halfway to work. Or remembering to pick up almond milk at the grocery store.. when I’m already home.

So what I’m saying here is it is a good thing I have a blog. Because I couldn’t for the life of me remember what kind of holiday treats I made last year until I scrolled my way down memory lane to get a good look at the holiday goodies.

I have a feeling I’ll be in the kitchen for a while this weekend.

By the way — it’s snowing. I think this means I may be spending more time baking in the kitchen today!

Enjoy your Saturday!

I always have to remind myself to revisit old recipes! They are always good ones but they always get forgotten!

I honesetly had no idea the snow was in the forecast! And I have to drive to Target… this means I’m sooooo losing my parking spot. Crap!

I think the reason our memories are so ‘off’ is that we have so many things in there that we can only fit certain things.
*S*N*O*W* —-I don’t know if we can be friends anymore. Just saying. ;) ….Guess we can still be friends I’ll just cross my fingers!

Oh heavens YES! I loooooove snow! We just haven’t gotten ANY so I am *super* jealous of you right now. I am wishing for snow like no other, I love to watch the flakes fall gently to the ground and hear the telephone ring for “School is cancelled today” :)

I’ve been having a tough time with my memory also. I saw the doc and she said it has to do with hormone levels; and mine are wacky!
Have a great weekend baking, I’m doing the same!

I’m having memory problems too! Which is a bad thing since I really need my memory for exams right now. :P

I think those chocolate covered dough balls just made their way on to my list of things I need to bake!

shut up!!! the ‘maple pecan chocolate bark’ is seriously THAT easy to make?! i have a friend visiting for reading of the new york times later today (i know, sue me, it’s too liberal for me, too, but i like the sunday style section). i think that i can make this, successfully, without being unhealthy with it. yeah for a fab recipe that has piqued my taste bud interest! i’ll post pics and link back to your blog, coach girl! merci beaucoup! x
