an acrostic

December 21, 2011

I apologize in advance for the blurry photo – but I have to show you reason #109130987 I love my job.

An acrostic – just for little old me.

Many stitches in her lip
Running is something she enjoys
She has  dog named Charlie

. (I thought the dot was cute)

She loves teaching
I think we all know she’s clumsy (HA!!)
Eating Peanut Butter Rox!
Good at talking
Everyone knows she’s funny
Running, talking, teaching and funny!
Some people don’t understand I’ve got the best teacher

Best. Present. Ever.

Awww that’s so cute!

I just posted about a few things Skylar has said lately….the stuff kids say. It can either melt you or make you bust out into laughter :)

I loved that post about Skylar - especially the “keys” incident!

Aww, kidlets can be so sweet. I’ll never forget the mini-graduation party my students threw for me when I left college - I was picking the purple glitter “confetti” out of my hair for days on end ;)

These are totally the types of gifts that make teaching so amazing! :)

I got a card today hoping that I would get puppies for Christmas, but I would need a female dog in order for that to happen since I only have a male dog. HA

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey December 22, 2011 at 6:01 am

that’s hilarious - did they add in the part about the female dog? I hope not! You teach little ones, right?

Reply

Cait @ beyond bananas December 22, 2011 at 6:11 am

Oh yes the female dog was included! Second grade! It was written by one of the brightest boys in my class who was also thankful for oxygen on thanksgiving. Haha

Frame It.

We should have a CEC fan acrostic challenge…but none of us could match the enormity of that. Still it would be cool.

You are truly an amazing person, Chels. I can tell. All the way though the tangled interweb.

And you are good at talking.

How sweet!! I have a binder in my classroom titled “Teacher Love Notes” (stolen from Pintererst) and I put all of my cute little notes/pictures from my students in it. It really is something that can cheer you up when you are having a not-so-good day. I teach Kindergarten so my kids can’t write anything like an acrostic yet, but if they did it would DEFINITELY go in my binder :)

Reply

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey December 22, 2011 at 6:05 am

It’s funny because I’m NOT that good at talking - I can talk forever, but I constantly forget what I’m going to say, forget the word I want to use, stumble over everything. I guess it’s just unconditional love.

Nothing like the roller coaster that is teaching. I have a “smile file” that I keep in my filing cabinet with cute little things like that to pull out when I need a pick me up. Best gift I got this year was an “anonymous” (not so anonymous, as I can totally tell the handwriting, haha) that said “You are nice and understand us.” It’s the little things…

I teach 5th grade also (and actually have 21 in my homeroom this year too!). I organized a Secret Snowflake program, where I match the kids up with someone secretly, and they leave sticky note compliments, stickers, letters, and homemade treats for them. At one point, I said, “Doesn’t it feel good to get compliments? I should’ve given myself a Secret Snowflake.” I then came in on a Monday morning, and my desk was COVERED in sticky notes with compliments from all of the kids. It was one of the most surprising and sweetest moments in my teaching so far. Your letter reminded me of it…they can be so cute! Good luck getting to the holiday break! They are wild this time of year!
