just a minor blooper

January 11, 2012

Happy Wednesday! Thankfully we are halfway through the week already – and guess what! We are supposed to get snow tonight. Honestly, if that doesn’t make me happy, nothing will. This winter has been devoid of any white powder, and I have been missing it. Snow lovers, unite!

If you’re not a snow lover, I’ll still be your friend. Just please humor me.

Yesterday was one of those days where everything was tiring, unexpected events took place, and I couldn’t wait to sit down at the end of the day. So typical of Tuesday.

Peas and Crayons

Breakfast – 6:00 AM

I haven’t done any working out this week besides a walk yesterday and some light yoga this morning. I’m letting my body recover and relax after going through quite a run on Saturday. Therefore, I’ve been able to take it easy and the morning and take my time to get ready and eat my breakfast. Nothing quite like it!

Oh, and pumpkin oats are back with a vengeance!

  • pumpkin banana oatmeal
  • cinnamon
  • dried cranberries
  • crumbled cinnamon roll (frozen from Christmas – don’t judge.)
  • Teddie’s flax peanut butter

And since we are still without a coffee maker, I had to go to Starbuck’s yet again. Word on the street is that our new one is coming on Friday.

Why didn’t we go out and just buy a new one, you ask? Because we have a warranty on ours so we called the company and they are sending us a new one. No need to pay for something when it can be replaced for free!

Lunch – 11:30 AM

I was famished by the time lunch came around. I always feel hungrier on days when I am getting back in the swing of a schedule and not just eating whenever I want to. The morning went by really quickly though, and the kids were being pretty great so I had nothing to complain about!

For lunch I had a fairly large salad filled to the brim with tomatoes, onion, zucchini, and celery. I also diced up about 1/3 of an avocado and topped it with nutritional yeast, hummus, and balsamic vinegar.

On the side I had about a cup of 0% Chobani topped with cinnamon and blackberries (2 for $3 at the store this week!).

Snack – 3:30 PM

And with a blink of an eye, school was over. With about a half hour left in the day, I had this nagging feeling that I had a meeting after school for a committee I am on, but I just couldn’t remember. Well, I checked my email after school to find out that I did in fact have a meeting at 3:45. And there went my plans of getting anything accomplished this afternoon or making dinner like a good wife would (I haven’t cooked in a long time – notice no recipes going on here?).

On my way to the district office, I snacked on half of a banana and a serving of almonds.

Before I left the parking lot, I meant to text the Husband….

And ended up tweeting my life story.

I was trying to text him to ask him what he would like for dinner since I wasn’t going to get home until after 6. He requested Chipotle. I came through for the win.

Dinner – 6:15 PM

The second I ordered the salad, I wanted to smack my head against the glass window. I should have gotten the burrito bowl – I had a salad for lunch!

Regardless, it was delicious. I ate some crackers on the side to get in my carbohydrate fill. And then I ended up the night with a piece of dark chocolate and a bowl full of granola with a peanut butter spoon. Nothing better in life, I swear.

Question: Have you ever made a text or twitter “blooper”? And please tell me you have seen the website Damn You Autocorrect – funniest thing EVER!

Haha, I have definitely done something similar in that I meant to email my husband and ended up emailing one of our VP’s. Yeah, unfortunately, I began the email with “hey sweetie.” Good thing I didn’t talk dirty. ;)

I have accidentally posted blog posts that were no where near ready and one time in one of my blog migrations, one that I never wanted the world to see got auto-posted and was live for like 3 seconds before I deleted it. One of those “having a bad day” days and rather than typing an email to myself ranting and raving and hitting delete…I put it in a blog post draft. That autoposted…fun times. 3 seconds though it was live…thank god!

And my hubs has accidentally sent my mother emails that she should have never seen. Whoa.

:)

I haven’t because I have no idea what’s in it. I’m just safer getting the salsa/guac mix - I’m sure it’s delicious though!

Reply

Reply

okay - I have one better and I hope the husband never reads this but he was talking to someone on the phone while I was saying goodnight to him and instead of saying I love you to me, he said I love you when he hung up the phone with the person he was talking to. Just get a picture in your head because he was not talking to a familiy member or friend - it was more like a business call. And I died laughing. I seriously almost peed my pants. no. joke.
