11 random things

February 5, 2012

Last week, I was tagged in a few fun surveys. I kept forgetting about them, so I thought I would answer the last one I was tagged in – from Clare!

  1. List 11 random things about myself
  2. Answer the 11 questions she asked me
  3. Come up with 11 questions to ask other bloggers
  4. Tag 11 other bloggers to do this next

My Random 11 Things

1. I go to bed with socks on every night and they somehow manage to come off my feet in the middle of the night. When I change the sheets, I always have a week’s worth of socks at the foot of the bed.

2. Sometimes when I wash the floors, I can’t get all of the dog hair off the floor because my rag won’t pick it all up. I’m really good at sweeping those last few hairs under the rug in our living room. #don’ttellthehusband

3. When I was little, I sometimes slept on the floor because my mattress was “too soft”. Weirdo.

4. If I am not leaving my house, there’s a good chance I’ll be in sweatpants.

5. I used to be obsessed with carousels. My bedspread actually used to have carousels on it. I’m glad when I got over that phase, my parents let me choose a new one.

6. I cannot stomach overly sweet treats. I tend to halve the sugar/sweetener in any recipe I come across!

7. I can’t get enough of Teen Mom or 16 & Pregnant. Guilty pleasures at their finest!

8. I clean like a mad person when I’m mad. (ha!)

9. I’m always cold – ALWAYS.

I can’t think of anything else.

Questions I Have to Answer

1. Favorite Condiment? By far the hardest question in the world! I can’t choose one, so I’m going to go with hummus and ketchup. I use them every single day.

2. How old do you think you’ll be when you die? Over 100!

3. If you could only eat fruits or vegetables, which would you choose? Vegetables. Too much fruit = sugar stomachache!

4. Hair up or down? Down

5. Flowers or chocolate? Chocolate

6. Bud Light or Miller Lite? (there IS a right answer) Neither – got to love being gluten free! (And I’m guessing Clare’s response would have been Bud Light being the St. Louis native that she is!)

7. Gushers or Dunkaroos? Dunkaroos! The best part was using your finger to get the last of the frosting out of the container.

8. Favorite type of M&M? Peanut Butter, although I cannot even remember the last time I had an M&M

9. Favorite Beer I don’t really have one. Gluten free beers are pretty subpar.

10. What are you doing next Thursday? I’m actually going to my next acupuncture appointment and going to get dinner with my bestie, Kim!

11. Window or Aisle Seat? Aisle – you can extend your legs for short periods of time.

New Set of Questions

Chocolate or Vanilla?
What would you do with 1 million dollars?
Where is your favorite place to buy groceries?
What is your biggest fear?
What is the last book you read?
Favorite movie?
What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Romantic or comedy movie?
Last dream you remember?
Have you ever been in a car accident?
What is the longest friendship you have ever had?

Haha I sleep with socks, but I purposefully pull them off halfway through the night because it gets too hot!

I definitely clean when I am mad too! It’s a good stress reliever AND clean things always make me feel better :)

I can’t wait to hear about your acupuncture appointments. I have been thinking of going myself, but I haven’t met anyone that can tell me more about it.

Haha about the socks, somehow I only lose the right one (?!?!)

Haha I used to be a nightime sock stripper too! At some point I was magically cured though.

Soo glad to hear I am not the only one that is ALWAYS cold. Everyone gets so tired of hearing me say “im cold”…”im freezing”! Ha!

My socks always come off in the middle of the night - always. The only gluten-free beer that I’ve tried and actually loved (I know, I was surprised to, they are usually horrible with a wonky aftertaste) is New Grist!

I do the SAME THING with my socks!!!! My feet are always so cold but they get hot in the middle of the night! Ha.

I love Teen Mom & 16 & Pregnant, too! :-)

I still often opt for the floor over a mattress because of the “too soft” issue. What is that about? Ha!

Lindsay @ Lindsay's List February 5, 2012 at 8:54 am

I’ve got to get on this - you’re the 4th person to tag me!! Will do it this week!
p.s. I’m always cold too! Pass the fuzzy socks and sweatshirts!

#1,4,6,and 9 in the first set are me too! So glad to know the sock thing is normal. This morning I woke up with 1 on, 1 off. No idea how it happens!

Kerry @ Totes My Oats February 5, 2012 at 9:03 am

haha #1 cracked me up as soon as I read it because I am the same way! Half of my socks are in my bed at the end of the week before laundry starts!

Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy February 5, 2012 at 9:22 am

I do the same thing with my socks! And I’m always cold too. I have space heater at work, and it’s always turned on.

I think the whole sweats thing while at home is due to the dress clothes with dress shoes from 6:30AM to 5:30 pm. that makes me instantly neeeeeed to put on sweats when I get home!

Reply

Emily February 5, 2012 at 9:34 am

I’m ALWAYS cold too. I absolutely hate it! And I’m always in sweatpants when I’m home. I would stay in them 24/7 if I had the choice. (:

Abby @ Abz 'n' Oats February 5, 2012 at 10:43 am

I think sweats are an at home necessity! :)

Marina@cowboycountryvegetarian February 5, 2012 at 11:31 am

Tree things in common: #6 and #8. I am so glad I am not alone in cutting sweets from the recipe to a quarter actually. And don’t make me mad! Or no one would find anything after I clean: I tend to rearrange everything!

Reply

Marina@cowboycountryvegetarian February 5, 2012 at 11:32 am

ooops, it was two things in common..:) third one was about hummus and ketchup (homemade though)

Liz @ iheartvegetables February 5, 2012 at 1:15 pm

Haha I have the same answer about beer: Neither! Although not because I’m GF… just because… I think it tastes gross ;) Pass me the wine!

Amber K February 5, 2012 at 1:29 pm

I’m the way with salt that you are with sweets. I usually at least 1/4 the amount of salt a recipe calls for otherwise I can’t taste anything else! And I wear sweats even if I am leaving the house ;)

Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga February 5, 2012 at 1:56 pm

fun quiz and facts!

“If I am not leaving my house, there’s a good chance I’ll be in sweatpants.” <- And become a mother and there's a pretty good chance that even if you ARE leaving your house, you'll be in them, or your workout pants. Real pants, with a waistband…what are those? :)

Michelle (Better with Berries) February 5, 2012 at 2:07 pm

I definitely agree with the peanut butter M&Ms being the best. Except I can definitely remember the last time I had an M&M :-)

Reply

Lauren February 5, 2012 at 2:22 pm

Ha ha ha, I sleep with socks on too and take them off in the middle of the night! I always manage to kick them out from under the sheets and on to the floor, though.

Tina @ Best Body Fitness February 5, 2012 at 2:31 pm

Yay! I’ve been tagged!!! :)

I’ll save this for next week’s Fun Fact Friday. #easywayout Haha!

I’m with you on the always cold thing. In church today, I wore a sweater, my jacket, AND Peter’s coat. And was STILL cold! Dang thryoid!

Kathleen @ KatsHealthCorner February 5, 2012 at 3:08 pm

I seem to get a sugar stomachache too if I eat too much fruit (espeecially grapes). As long as I pair it with nut butter I’m fine though. :D

Brandi @ Faith Fitness and Laughter February 5, 2012 at 3:49 pm

Your random 8 and 9……..right there with you! The girls I work with FREEZE me out! I always have a space heater at my feet….even in the Summer.
I clean when I am bored too! ;)

Ooohh yay! So excited to play the game. :) Thanks for the tag lady.

Maria @ Beautiful Busy Bee February 5, 2012 at 4:39 pm

I don’t like soft mattresses either! They don’t give any back support and then I feel like crap when I wake up (oh gawd I sound like an old lady). When I’m mad the idea of cleaning would make me madder. Have a nice week! :)

Reply

Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin February 5, 2012 at 5:29 pm

Haha I used to do that sock thing too! And then I just stopped going to bed with socks on = problem solved!

Jamie @ Thrifty Veggie Mama February 6, 2012 at 7:21 am

I pretty much live in my yoga pants now that I am a SAHM. Gotta love it!
