1. Thanks to everyone who wished me a better day yesterday. I have to admit, it certainly was. It probably had nothing to do with the fact that I ate Mexican food twice in one day either. My fingers might be swollen from my sodium intake, but I will happily take Chipotle for lunch and homemade Mexican for dinner. There’s not enough frijoles in the world that could make me not like Mexican food.
2. I won the war on the air conditioning. Last night, the Husband finally gave in after hearing me whine and complain for two weeks straight about how flipping hot it was in our house and how I was sweating just thinking about making dinner. I was allowed to run the air for four hours before it cooled off (for good). Now that I think about it, I totally lost. He got two weeks of no air conditioning. I got four hours. Somehow that doesn’t scream #winning to me.
3. Spring Break starts NOW! Actually it started for me at 3 PM yesterday since I have a doctor’s appointment today. I think pancakes are in the cards for a celebratory breakfast this morning.
4. Have I ever told you all about my foot twin? I just searched my blog for “foot twin” and I guess I haven’t. Well, you know that Friends episode where Joey tries to convince someone he is his hand twin? In case you don’t remember, here’s a little refresher….
Anyways, my aunt is my foot twin. it’s the truth. Our feet are identical and we even have a freckle in the same spot on the bottom of our foot. It’s pretty freaky.
5. I am having another breakfast date with the lovely Kathleen tomorrow. I’m insanely excited and can’t wait to catch up with her and eat an omelet as big as my head. No, really – it’s as big as my head. I’ll have to take a picture for you.
6. Speaking of dates, can we talk about HUNGER GAMES tonight??!?!?!?!?!? I’m going with my mom and counting down the hours. One of my students actually went last night to the midnight showing and was allowed to stay home from school today. That’s probably why my students think I’m not in school today. Obviously they don’t know about how I can’t stay up past 9 PM ever.
7. Yesterday, I told Tina she was my lobster. Come on people, you know I can relate any kind of life experience to Friends. See #4. And this, this, this, and this post.
8. Do you remember when AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) was like the biggest thing EVER? And do you remember all of the acronyms that went along with it? BRB. G2G. LYLAS. LMAO. BF4L. Those were the days. I need to put on my sparkly eye shadow and wear my Limited Too sweatshirt again.
9. I’m getting my nails done today – have I mentioned that already? I’m just so stinking excited I can’t stand it!!!
10. I want sushi. That is all.

My boyfriend is foot twins with one of our friends (a girl). They both have the same knobbly alien feet and giant toe nails, it’s so weird!
And I am also excited beyond words for The Hunger Games. All the good showings tonight were sold out already in Manhattan so I’m skipping class to go to the matinee!!!! I heard it’s awesome

AOL/AIM seriously seems ancient. I remember when all we had was dial-up and I couldn’t use the computer (that would take 70 years to load) because my mom was waiting for a phone call. Wow, those were the days.

I love Friends. I’ve seen there shows a million times, and there’s a reason why the episodes are called, “The one where…” B/c it seems like I’ll ask someone (and other people have asked me too) have you seen “the one where..?.” You can compare a lot of things to that show!
We have another week and then have our Spring Break the first week in April. Hope you have a fun break!

I miss that show! And I miss the days of AIM too… me and my friends would get together and gather around the computer and try to grill all of our guy friends about who they liked at the time hahaha.

Haha I feel you on the air conditioning! Luckily my boyfriend doesn’t mind having it on. I used to fight endlessly with my Mom about it though. Hunger games this weekend for me too!
I too want sushi today so I packed a sushi salad for lunch. Brown rice, edamame, nori that I cut into strips, carrots, cucumber and avocado with sesame seeds and wasabi powder. Can’t wait to eat it!
