encouragement

May 15, 2012

Well, it’s official – I can’t breathe out of my nose, my eyes are drooping from fatigue, and all I want to drink is orange juice. I think I’m a bit sick. Whether it’s allergies or my sinuses or a cold, I’m not sure – but all I know is the couch is calling my name.

I figured now is as good a time as any to share this video that was shared at church on Sunday. My pastor is doing a series on parenting, and on Sunday for Mother’s Day the sermon was all about what you can do at home as parents to guide your children. He referenced a book called The Blessing, and even though I’m not a parent I really want to read it since I work with children and interact with my nieces and nephew so frequently.

So, he played this video, which isn’t really so much about parenting, but about having someone that encourages you and believes in you no matter what. It’s absolutely incredible.

Have a great day everyone – cross your fingers that I can breathe by tomorrow!

Question: Who in your life has been a constant source of encouragement?

I am extremely lucky to have a husband who is beyond supportive and encouraging. I never take it for granted and feel blessed every day.
I hope you feel better. Have you done any Emergen C packs? I think they help if you do two a day.

I have not done any of those - I cannot get past the taste!!!

Feel 100% soon! The end of the year is so hard on the body because all it wants to do is poop out and make you take the rest that you truly need. I know my body fights itself the last two/three weeks of school pretty hard- just to keep going.
Okay, that book sounds like something I REALLY need to get my hands on. That video gave me chills- I love getting to work with kids and helping them understand the unconditional love that we should have for our neighbors.

Hope you feel better soon Chelsey! I will have to check out that book.

My dad is a constant source of encouragment. No matter how things rough get, his faith always hold strong. He gives fabulous advice. He believes in me when I don’t believe in myself. He is one of those people that makes you want to be a better person.

Feel better!!! My father was always a big source of encouragement with whatever I wanted to do in life. Within the last couple of years, my boyfriend has also fallen into that role. When I told him I wanted to run a marathon next year, he said “go for it!!”.

I would say my parents are my biggest encouragers. They push me farther than I think I can go, but it’s just because they know I’ll rise to the challenge. I’ll never be able to thank them enough for getting me to where I am now.

omgshhh those guys are amazing with their voice! :D And it bothered me that people were rolling their eyes at them :( But! They were amazing.

And I have to say that first and foremost, God has alwaaaaayyyys been my source of encouragement. Seriously…without Him, I don’t think I’d be alive! <3 And now, my husband is a constant source of encouragement b/c he's so supportive and loving. Ahhh I hope you feel better quick, and take care of yourself Chelsey!

My parents have always been there to encourage me, especially when I get really stressed out with school. I called them so many times this year when I felt discouraged and they always gave me the best pep talks!

Feel better soon Chelsey!

Definitely my parents, but especially my mother. She sat by my bedside when I was sick for weeks, and the night I almost passed away, she gave me the encouragement to hold on. I hope I can encourage others through blogging and teaching.
Feel better! :)
