weekend by iphone

September 24, 2012

Saturday morning homework session at Starbuck’s. Never mind the blog reading.

Chocolate purchase with grocery shopping. The Belgians don’t do it as good as the Swiss.

Afternoon reading courtesy of my bestie. We went out for lunch on Saturday (Chipotle!). I gave her a vacuum for her new place, she gave me a book to read. Even trade in my book.

I’m finally doing the backward hanger trick. When I wear something and hang it back up (after washing), I’ll put the hanger back the correct way. In a few months we’ll see how much of my wardrobe I actually wear. Maybe this will get me out of wearing the same things over and over again? We shall see.

Afternoon naps were had by all.

This week is going to be a doozy. Don’t expect to see too much of me. Babysitting tonight, school tomorrow, another event on Thursday night. I took advantage of my free afternoon and made a big batch of quinoa, roasted some vegetables (and squash!), and made the Husband some chicken. We’ll be set for a few days.

Jumping on the neon bandwagon. One of our fifth graders was wearing these shoes the other day, and I decided I HAD to get them. They’re Adidas, which I usually don’t buy, but they’re super comfortable. Hopefully she isn’t embarrassed that a teacher has the same shoes as her.

Question: How was your weekend?

I love that backward hanger trick. I just need to get the motivation to actually clean the closet. Ugh, the bane of my existence every season. :)

Have a good weekend dear!

I hope your busy week goes well and quickly!
My weekend was very fun: farmers market, pizza for dinner, supervising a high school dance, and an awesome 8 mile run.

I tired the hanger trick with the mess my boyfriend had in his closet. Worked like a charm! A few weeks ago we had two huge garbage bags to donate.

And he thought it was all his idea. ha!

I should do that hanger trick too… I’m totally guilty of wearing my favorite things over and over, and I know there’s several tops that I haven’t worn in forever. You do have quite the busy week! Good luck! ;)

Ack I’m loving that backwards hanger trick! I kind of tend to wear a lot of the same things over and over, so having a visual reminder to change things up might help me… err… change things up :D And that picture of Charlie? Eeee! I die from cuteness.

That hanger idea is brilliant!!! Such a good idea! I think I want some neon shoes too. I’ll be all over it at the outlets this week!! I’m sure the student will be looked up to for being the cool kid that had their teacher get the same sneaks!

Awesome shoes! Try to keep your sanity during this busy week! Good job in making up some food ahead of time. I have got to start doing that more often.

I love that hanger trick! I’m totally going to try that. I’ve been trying to toss some of my clothes I don’t wear very often, but every time I’m about to throw it away I think, “well, maaaayybeee I’ll wear it again….” and I end up keeping it! BAhhh. I need to get rid of clothes. :)

Ah I want those shoes! I totally agree with you about the chocolate thing, too. Once I tried Swiss chocolate I knew I’d be spoiled for life.

Heeeey.. Don’t diss our chocolate ;)

But I must admit, Swiss chocolate is awesome too..

Although it is better to have a real Belgian brand..
We have flavors that are going to rock your socks off ;) Let me know and we could so a food swap :D

I’m ALL ABOUT the neon — it was my neon pink calf sleeves paired with my bright yellow Mizunos that got me so many cheers during my half marathon yesterday, and I don’t think I would have done as well without the personlized cheering — so I owe my great run to neon!! :)

Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin September 24, 2012 at 5:49 pm

Haha somehow blog reading always sneaks into my homework sessions too. Oops.

My weekend was good! I went out for sushi, did homework, and went to a food festival. I probably didn’t do as much homework as I should have, but oh well!

I think we literally have the same life. My weekend included Starbucks, studying, that TJ’s dark chocolate bar, and Emily Giffin’s book. Craziness.

I want to do the hanger trick, but I’m so scared that I’ll only have 2 shirts left in my closet- haha!

I need to do the hanger trick!! I am always wearing the same clothes and have a hard time getting rid of old things, it seems too sad.
I get attached to dumb things like that.
Hope your week isn’t too stressful!
And those shoes are absolutely adorable!

Let us know how those Reeboks hold up! The look of them reminds me of Nike Free Runs (I have 2 pairs), but I only wear them for walks, easy jogs, and cardio machines (I don’t find them to be all that good for long distance runs or lateral movement in group fitness classes). I’m interested!

hahah, and totally understand the acquisition of fashion ideas from school! Having taught in a middle school over the past five years, at least once a week was dressed quite similarly to at least one student. Why not!?
