You know how I have been posting all about those delicious KIND bars over the last few weeks? That’s because the folks over at KIND were nice enough to send me a package for National Peanut Butter Day (which was last week). I’ve been enjoying eating through all of the products, and I am excited to share some with a lucky reader!
I had seen the KIND granola (whole grain clusters) around in Whole Foods before, but I never bought them. I loved this granola. It has a variety of textures and stays crunchy for a long time! It’s a keeper, that’s for sure!
The first bar they sent me was the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein. This bar had a great flavor, but was a little dry and hard to chew. Definitely not my favorite, but not too bad! Protein products are usually a hit or miss for me.
My favorite (BY FAR!!) was the Peanut Butter & Strawberry bar. Holy cow. This was seriously like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I kind of wanted to dip it in dark chocolate though. How good would that have been? Unfortunately, they are all eaten. ::tear::

Mmmmm, pb strawberry sounds fantastic! I am being kind to myself by not killing it in the gym. I’ve been a little sick, so yoga and pilates at home have been my go-to workouts.

The KINDness I am doing for my body is a bit of a milestone as well. This Saturday I will officially complete the Insanity program and I am treating myself to a massage. I have taken a rest day mid week to help my body and mind. I workout 6-7 days a week and like just once in awhile to take a rest day mid work week. It calms my mind and body.

But most importantly, I reached a milestone this week because I was able to successfully be kind to my family as well. Each meal I made this week was 100% vegan and gluten free and all four of my children devoured them with great enthusiasm! I also got my husband to join us with a smile on his face! Months of slowly introducing them to a healthier lifestyle and cleaner eating habits is paying off! SUCCESSFUL MAMA!

This week I’ve been kind to my body by allowing it the rest it deserves after running my first marathon on Sunday!
I was kind to my body by taking a break from working out for 3 days, and then starting back up again today. It felt great to sweat again!!

The hubs and I are trying to be KIND to our bank account this year by planning our meals a month in advance. We don’t eat out nearly as often, we get to experience new recipes, and we just enjoy each other’s company.

I am currently trying to gain some healthy weight because I am 16 and very underweight. I lost a lot of weight when I had to stop eating dairy and gluten because I replaced what I used to be able to eat with mostly fruits and vegetables. During the week, I actually made a trip to Whole Foods and bought lots of nuts and seeds from the bulk bins! I also picked up a few KIND bars to try for some calorie and nutrient dense snacks. So far, I love the KIND bars and I would be very happy to try their other flavors and products!
after running 50+ miles last week, I forced myself to do some yoga - P90X yoga that is! Oohh the stretching hurt so good!

I had been working out super hard by doing Tabata and Running and Piloxing…I had a major cramp in my arch one night and it made my ankle and shins hurt the following day. I decided to give my body a day of rest to recouperate from that and I believe the ol’ body was much appreciative.

I started the P90X workout series on Tuesday, and by Thursday, my body was so sore. I almost popped that DVD in and needlessly, mindlessly pushed myself too hard, but instead, I went to yoga. And I felt so much better having respected and honored myself enough to do what was right for my body and sanity. I’m starting the program again today, rested, stretched, and reasonable. And the delicious pumpkin oatmeal with natural peanut butter and raisins I ate this morning is going to lend itself well to a tough workout! Have a great weekend!

I LOVE Kind bars! Yum! This week I was kind by exercising everyday but giving my body somewhat of a rest on Thursday with an elliptical workout. Really just so I could catch up on the Bachelor but it was nice to just do some mindless cardio with a little added arm weights. I really worked my legs this week!

I was KIND to my body this week in several ways! I did PT to get my knee back in shape so I can run again. I spent my day without work and my kid prepping food for next week. I pre-cooked sweet-potatoes, organic chicken, breakfast items, and more to take to work! I did some beauty work with an exfoliating bath and pedi then proceeded to put a coconut oil mask on my hair all night and woke up to glorious refreshed hair!

This week I continued on my journey of weight loss and healthy eating. I have tried all the “diet” foods in the past, but I could never keep off the weight. Eating clean has changed my life! This week I worked out 4 times in the morning, ate 9 serving of fruit and vegetables and made sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. I also replaced my ENTIRE pantry with “clean” items. I’m so excited!

I was kind to my body by trying 2 new classes at the gym this week- hot yoga and cardio kickboxing!
I’ve been trying to listen to my body more this week - when I’m hungry, when I’m full, when I’m craving a big plate of veggies vs. a bit of chocolate, etc.
I was KIND to my body by eating lots of clean eats and extra protein to keep it energized as I continue to gain some muscle. Heck yeah
I was KIND to my body by starting a 21 day Yoga Challenge! I need to work out the kinks from a week’s worth of travel.
I was kind by boosting my breakfast intake. I’m sick of being hungry!
