1. It really was not my intention to leave you for three days – I’m sorry! It just turned out to be a crazy week. Between class on Tuesday, a school obligation on Wednesday, and visiting my dad in the hospital last night, I’m ready for this week to be over. (For all concerned, my dad will be fine after a little surgery. No worries!)
2. Speaking of that school obligation, it was my kids’ Spanish Show performance they do in fifth grade. First of all, it was hilarious. I have the biggest bunch of hams I have EVER seen in my entire life. It was so so funny to watch them sing and dance. Second of all, remember the “boss” kid? He had to dress up and do a special part. I told him yesterday he performed LIKE A BOSS! He was impressed.
3. Whatever you are doing, please drop it and watch this video. I came across it Wednesday night before I went to bed (I have a horrible habit of searching the internet before I go to bed/after I read), and it had me crying I was laughing so hard. I stumbled out of bed to make the Husband watch it with me. While I was walking out, I was laughing so hard that he asked me if I was drunk. Then we proceeded to laugh so hard that your mouth is open but nothing comes out. You know the laugh I’m talking about!!!
4. Wednesday night I asked for suggestions on if I should go to Chipotle or the Whole Foods bar for dinner. Everyone (but one) voted for Whole Foods. I went to Chipotle. Sorry, Mexican food wins.
5. We have a family wedding tonight, and I could not be more pumped! They are so much fun, and as an added bonus, I get to meet my newest niece this evening. I am SO EXCITED!!
6. Does anyone else have a 3 day weekend next weekend for Presidents Day? I neeeeeeed it so so bad. I can’t wait for that extra day off!
7. So on Sunday, we were all over at my parents’ house for the Super Bowl. At one point, I took Aubrey up the stairs to look at all of our old pictures to make her stop screaming for her mother (that child will not let her mother out of her sight). Anyway, we were looking at the pictures, and she likes it when you point to one and she tells you who it is. I would point to pictures of my dad, and I would say “Who is this?” and she would respond with “Papa!”. I would then point to pictures of my mom and say “Who is this?” and she would respond with “Aunt Chelsey!”. Needless to say, the pictures were anywhere from 20-30 years ago, and my mom and I have an uncanny resemblance. I was cracking up.

I took a four day weekend this weekend to spend time with my mom while she’s in town. I look just like my mom when she was my age, I think its so funny looking at the pictures.

We have Monday off too! Not for President’s Day, since I’m in Canada, but Family Day. I’m pretty pumped about it. That video-hahahaha, that is just so good.
