fun facts friday

March 22, 2013

1. I soooo didn’t mean to go all baby on you and then leave you for three days. Unfortunately, I’ve been bed/couch ridden all week long. It has not been fun. Even more not fun? Going back to work yesterday and having people tell me, “you look like crap. go home”. Thank you. I feel like crap too.

2. One. More. School. Day. Until. Spring. Break!!!! When we go back, it will be April – APRIL!!!

3. I am excited to see Kathleen and Lauren tomorrow for brunch! We haven’t seen each other in a few weeks, and I’m ready to chat!

4. Yesterday, for lunch AND dinner, I ate Jimmy John’s. Veggie Unwich and Salt & Vinegar Chips. My mom is probably cringing as she read that because she listed off a whole bunch of foods for me to eat. Nice, healthy foods like eggs and beans. I said blech to all of that.

5. When I went to acupuncture yesterday, I had so many needles in me. Seriously – so so many. Down my leg, in my back, in my arm, in my head, in my ears, on my behind. I had no idea how I was going to be comfortable and fall asleep. Turns out, I can fall asleep just about in any positions these days. Even better? I felt 100x better when I left than when I arrived.

6. My kids flipping crack me up. Yesterday as they were getting ready to go for the day, one of my little girls came up to me and asked, “Were you baby sick or sick sick?” I said, “I think a little bit of both.” She then proceeded to say, “Yeeeah, those first couple of months sure are rough.” I tried so hard not to laugh at her when she said that. Too cute.

7. I’ve been on a roll this week with being in bed before 8. I’m going to keep that up tonight (Thursday), and I’m going to bed after writing this post. It’s 6:33 as I type. #pathetic

8. I have been obsessed with some different Buzzfeed articlles lately. Mainly this one, and this one (seriously, the dog in #18 looks like a gorilla – I’d be freaked too!), and this one.

9. Aaaand it’s Friday. Happy Weekend everyone!!!

That sounds good to me! Let me know!

Very jealous of the jimmy johns! I would love that unwich, hoping there’s a tutorial somewhere showing how to wrap one. I love getting lettuce wrapped burgers & bean burgers!
Also jealous of your Spring break! I’ve had a cold for the last 4 days - first one of the season- and I’m trying to save my vacation/sick time for after my son is born in July.

Yeah, I was trying to bank up my sick days too - lol, it hasn’t been working too well!

I hope you feel better soon! Have fun at brunch tomorrow! This is the last day of school before spring break for me, as well. I CAN’T WAIT!

When you aren’t feeling very well, sometimes you just have to eat what sounds good. And I am sure that Jimmy John’s most definitely sounded good! It has been far too long since I have eaten it :( .

Happy Friday to you and the babes!! :)

Yay Friday!! Hope you get lots of rest this weekend. (and my students said some hilarious things to me to me when I was pregnant…wish I had written them all down!)

Feel better soon! I was just introduced to Buzzfeed this week by the one called “24 things guaranteed to make you smile”. I didn’t look at all twenty-four, but the sweetest little boy ever was #18 I believe. C.U.T.E. overload.
Happy Friday!

We ate Jimmy John’s all the time in college! Sorry you’ve been feeling badly.1 I know it feels like it will never end but it will! When I was pregnant I was convinced it was twins because I was like, “No one baby could make you feel THIS terrible!” It was only one but I can’t imagine how you are feeling!!! Have a restful weekend :-)

Can you do a post on acupuncture and what it’s done for you? Or have you already? I’d love to hear some opinions from others as I’ve been considering this.

I am also in my first trimester and like you all I have wanted lately are carbs. On a normal day I don’t really eat pasta or bread but that is all that sounds good. I am glad to hear another clean eater is in the same boat as me.

I’m sorry you are feeling so sick but I hope you are doing better today and what great timing that you now get a whole week off! You deserve it! I’m totally obsessed with Buzz Feed these days too and that dog one cracked me up- I said that dog looked just like a gorilla too when I read it yesterday!

Chelsey, I just found out that I’m gluten intolerant and I had a quick question— when you go to Chipotle or Jimmy John’s or anywhere, do you ask them to change their gloves for you when making your order? Just curious. And if you do, do they seem ok with that or give you the side-eye? Thanks! :)
