Well look at me all on time with my What I Ate Wednesday post! Thanks to spring break this week (yahoo!), I am also on spring break from grad class since the high school we meet at is closed this week. I’m okay with that one! Yesterday was actually a decent day of eats for me, and I managed to capture most everything – so here we go!

Eh, I’ve not been so good at this month’s theme, but I’ll do what I can!
Breakfast – 7:30 AM
Okay, so this is a recycled picture, but breakfast this morning was a strawberry and banana smoothie. I’ve been hating on most of my breakfast favorites lately, but smoothies make the cut. In the mix:
- 7-8 strawberries
- 1 banana
- almond milk (no idea how much – I just eyeballed it)
- 1/4 cup raw oats
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter
- ice
A perfect way to mask the oats and peanut butter that I have been loathing lately. I’ll take it!
After breakfast, I went and got a manicure and pedicure. It’s been a while since I got one, and it was definitely time for one. I went with a new to me color, Essie’s Chubby Cheeks. It is PERFECT for spring! I love it. Plus the girl that did my nails did the best job ever. I’m quite impressed!
Lunch – 12:30 PM
On the way home from getting my nails done, I stopped at Buona Beef for one of my favorite lunches. We typically to there for lunch every few weeks during the school week – and honestly, it was the only thing that was sounding good to me for lunch!
They have an awesome gluten free flat bread that you can subsittute for any of their sandwiches or pizzas – I got the Portobella Provolone Panini (without the cheese). It’s so so delicious. It has mushrooms marinated in a balsamic, artichoke hearts, spinach, and roasted red peppers. That sandwich never gets old (fingers crossed). On the side, I had one of their house salads.
Snack – 3:00 PM
I could NOT get full this afternoon. I started snacking on some chips (awesome choice, right? ha!) but then decided I should probably get something with some nutrients in me. I grabbed a container of CHO instead and drank a few glasses of water to see if that would tame the hunger beast. Mainly because nothing else but chips sounded good. Horrible.
After my little snack time, I headed out to the chiropractor to get adjusted for the first time in forever. I love my chiropractor because he’s super knowledgeable in just about everything! He adjusted my pelvic bones (that felt good – okay, not really), my back, and my neck. He also thinks some of the pain I have been feeling on my right side is intestinal, and that it is leftover from the stomach bug I had. Buuut, my ligaments are still causing me some trouble. I left feeling a bit better and I am looking forward to going back next week.
After, I went to a new to me grocery store, Mariano’s. One just opened up right near my chiropractor’s office, so I had to go check it out! They have a great salad bar and prepared foods section. I opted for some veggie sushi for dinner.
Dinner – 6:00 PM
This sushi definitely tasted good going down (although I like Whole Foods a little bitter), but uhhh we had some issues because of it afterwards. I’m sure you really wanted to know that, but apparently the babies did NOT like it. Noted.
I’m sure I’ll continue to snack throughout the night since dinner didn’t go so well – and I’m bound to have my 2 AM bowl of cereal to get me through the night.

Happy Wednesday!
The nails do look fab and I love that essie color! I need to get my toes done, was hoping to last week but never got there. This week I hope I do, they need done and hard for me to do now on my own obviously, haha!
Have a great day love!
haha I understand the not being able to reach your toes thing! Make sure you’re careful and tell the tech not to rub your ankles - that point can trigger contractions!
Love the nails! Mine are in bad need of some attention
Good call on the smoothie…as soon as the snow goes away I’ll be whipping them up no end!
LOVE your nails! So cute! and I hope your tummy issues settle down!!
i love veggie sushi..and that flatbread sandwich and salad combo sounds delicious!
hope your appetite comes back and glad you’re feeling a little better!!
Love the nail color!!! I’m too much of a cold weather wimp to have smoothies for b’fast, but yours looked good.
That panini looks delicious (I would totally want to eat at that restaurant every week!), and your nails look fabulous!!
Happy Wednesday and I hope that you are having a great Spring Break!
I am - it’s going by WAY too quickly!!!
The panini sounds amazing! I hope that the chiropractor visit helps and makes things a little more bearable for you.
Don’t feel bad about not being able to stick to this month’s theme - I’ve been failing at it too. And I look for that flavor of Cho EVERYWHERE when I’m down in the States, but after three visits I’ve still had no luck. Bah. Glad the chiropractor apt helped!
It’s actually not my favorite flavor. It’s just okay!
I love the nails!
And that’s my favourite Chobani flavour - I picked it up the last time I was in the states and absolutely fell in love!
Love the nails! They look awesome!
I am not sure I am a fan of the baby telling me what I want to eat. Unfortunately, my baby prefers candy with a side of more candy (and I have never been a sweets person!). It’s something that I am struggling to figure out, even halfway through.
Good luck with the twins, I am sure that you will get their palate to where you want it to be, and I will with my little too! (hope)
hahah! Yeah, I hear you on the “baby telling you what to eat thing”. Unfortunately, right now I”ll take what I can get. I haven’t been a huge fan of sweet things so I guess that’s my only upside!
Wow, I love that sound of that panini! Your nails look great and it does look like she did a good job. I don’t get mine done often but I always get mad whenever I get a manicure and the nail lady is sloppy with it. Could’ve saved money and done my own!
I’m one of those crazy people that asks them to redo it if I don’t like their work. I’m paying for it!
Wow. Your nails really do look great! I’m always disappointed with how long a manicure lasts. Maybe I’m kind of harsh on my hands, but my nails always start fading or chipping within a week
Love the red color though. May have to give that a try!
Mine always do too. The main reason why I love mani/pedi’s so much is because they clean up your cuticles!
Love that nail color!! And the baby always seems to win- get used to it (;
haha! Too true!
I love getting my nails done, it’s nice getting pampered. You deserve it after all your issues that have been going on!
your nails look so good! i love that color!
Oh no! I love sushi, so sad that the babies did not agree! Hopefully they get their act together, sushi is delicious haha.
I agree! I think it didn’t help that I have just been feeling “blah” around dinner time lately. That’s the first real dinner I’d tried to eat in a few days. Lately it’s just been grazing and snacking until bedtime!
Loving the nails! You’re right, super cute color for spring! That apple cinnamon Chobani is my favorite. Hope you’re feeling well today! xoxo
So I’m glad to know Mariano’s has good sushi. I love that store! And love the manicure! I’m so bummed because if I knew you were going, I totally would have tagged along. I had off yesterday and ran a bunch of errands and almost got my nails done but decided not to last minute. Next time for sure! Love you!
Aw man! It was pretty far ways away from you - but I would have loved to see you!!!
Yum, your eats looked so delicious! Only thing you were lacking was PROTEIN!!! Pack it in girl! You need TONS of it right now. Protein is what makes the babies grow, so really start upping that. You need way more than your hubby right now…and if your hubby is anything like mine, he eats a lot of protein! haha. I’ve been adding protein powder to my smoothies and that has helped, plus it fills you up, otherwise you’ll be hungry all day (which is normal when pregnant with twins!).
Believe me, i KNOW!
But I’m basically doing what I can eats wise right now. I can’t tolerate too much without it all coming back up - so I’m eating what I can.
Love that nail polish color — it’s the perfect spring pink!
Sorry the sushi didn’t work out… so sad. And I think you ate more veggies than I did! Haha good job!
That panini looks awesome…too bad I don’t like mushrooms, haha.
whaaaaat!?!? mark that one off the “i didn’t know that about you” list!
Smoothies are my go-to when nothing sounds appetizing! I’ve been having smoothie bowls quite often for dinner the past month! Love your manicure- that color is so bright and fun! Hope you started feeling better through the night!
I love veggie sushi (I don’t like fish, so that’s pretty much my go-to order). I’ve never gotten some at a grocery store, but maybe I’ll try it out!
I’m a total smoothie fiend. Your version sounds good! Hope you feel better and can enjoy food other than chips soon. Now I want some chips…
Smoothies have been on the top of my list lately too! I’m glad your favorite sandwich still sounds good to you. That would be the worst if you didn’t even want that. It looks delicious. I would love to find somewhere that has gluten-free flat bread. Now I’m on a mission!
Love the nail color! Such a great color for spring! My nails/ toe nails are in need of some color!
haha!
I’m jealous of the sushi you had! Looks delicious!! I’m going to have to get my boyfriend to take me out for some this weekend
All your eats look delicious! Glad to see you’re getting your appetite back
Love the nail color!
Ugh on the babies not liking sushi. None of my babies liked tomato sauce in any shape or form, not gonna lie, still makes me gag to this day.
Oh my gosh-I LOVE that color!!! WANT!!!
