1. I have come to the conclusion that we are going to hold the Guinness Record for biggest twins ever born.
Okay not really, but I’ll share more in my post on Tuesday!
2. Creepiest things children have ever said to their parents. Ummmmm odd.
3. On Wednesday I was soooo tired. Like, ridiculously tired. So tired that when one of my favorite shows (The Middle) came on, my eyes were drooping at 7:00. I finally gave up and got into bed at 7:20. I was out like a light by 7:45. No Shame over here.
4. Aubrey freaking cracks me up. She’s in this stage where she’s super animated with her voice and expressions – oh, and she can’t handle people being near her and not talking to her every single second. I don’t know how she’s going to fare when my mom is also taking care of two newborns. Here are her sleeping and “mad” faces:
5. Have I mentioned I’m actually getting to see Lauren and Kathleen tomorrow? I don’t think I have seen them for MONTHS. We’re going to get brunch (typical) and I’m so excited to catch up with those two lovely ladies.
6. You know what I love? When I wake up and I have a HUGE pimple in the middle of my cheek. Perfect. And it’s even better when it’s one that’s underneath the skin and it can’t be popped. Apparently I’m 12 and not almost 26?
7. 12 MORE WAKEUPS!!!! A lot of you commented on how it’s funny that I count down in “wakeups”. It’s just a thing at my school with my co-workers. For some reason, counting down how many more days we have to wake up before summer starts sounds so much better than “3 weeks” or “5 weeks” or however many weeks we have left (ps – 2.4).
8. We officially have two names for the girls. We had three contenders, and we agreed on one name. The other two, I didn’t care because I loved them both, but the Husband couldn’t decide. He decided last night. I almost want to get it in writing so he can’t take it back.
And no, we’re not sharing. You’ll have to wait!
9. It’s supposed to be coooold the next few days. And by cold, I really mean upper fifties and lower sixties. I’m not a fan.
10. Happy Friday!! Enjoy your weekend everyone.

we have 9 more wakeups!! ahhh can’t believe summer is so close!! and i can’t wait to hear your girls’ names!
woooo 9 more!!! That’s amazing!
Hahaha we count down until summer break in wakeups as well
Must be a teacher thing.
Haha they counted wake-ups at the Citadel, the military academy in Charleston, to count down to anything big. The poor Knobs (the freshmen, called knobs like doorknobs because they had to have shaved heads) had to always know the # of wake ups to important days, even if it was months away! Hahaha oh I miss that place.
aaaand you miss it because you went there???
Oh did I not mention I went to a military academy? NOT. I meant I miss Charleston
hahahahahahahah
Can’t wait to find out their names!!!
They might be the biggest twins, but they will also be the most beautiful too!!! I am so excited for you guys!!!
Enjoy your weekend love! I seriously wish I could pass out early like you and sleep, sleeping is rare over here! Enjoy that sleep for me! xoxo <3
LOL - thank you. They’re really measuring just right and are just above in the weight department. It’s their LEGS!!! Their legs are measuring like 2 weeks ahead. We’ll have two leggy girls if they’re anything like their 6’5″ father!
I’m getting zits too! I was hoping that graduating college means no more zits. And it’s going to be in the 50′s/60′s here too, which sounds like arctic weather compared to the 70′s we’ve been having lately.
#6 is the story of my life this morning, but at least it’s Friday… and that calls for a #happydance
Hahha love her faces, too cute! Summer is almost here yay.
Aww man, I want to know the names that you chose!!
But I totally understand why you want to wait. We will all just have to be patient! I am sure that whatever you picked out is great
.
That’s so exciting that you have names picked out!! I also think it’s good to keep them to yourselves until the girls are here - it’s a lot more fun that way, plus just in case you decide to change either one, no one will ever know!
Totally feel your pimple pain - unfortunately mine could be popped and I made it ten times worse…25 and I most definitely feel 12 again! We count in “sleeps” with my niece!
As a kid I used to count how many times I have to sleep until something happens.
I still occasionally exclaim “only 10 more sleeps” before something exciting.
Oh look at that little stinker in the carseat…she reminds me so much of my girl! What a doll.
(Oh, and Meeker counts “sleeps” until Christmas. Starting in like…November. He’s the 12 year old here.)
Lol - she is a little stinker, that’s for sure. Her new thing is fake crying and my mom says “unacceptable!” every time she does it. If she doesn’t stop, my mom will ask her if she wants to sit in the corner. 8 out of 10 times, she says yes.
Hilarious.
Wohooo!!!!! Tomorrow can’t come soon enough!!!!
To be 100% honest, I’m glad you’re not telling us the names! It makes it so much more exciting! And Audrey reminds me of my boyfriend’s little niece, Leah. She makes funny faces JUST like that!
We do the “how many wake-ups” at my school too! haha Maybe a teacher thing in general??? As a kids I always did “how many more sleeps”. We have 12 more wake-ups too - and I couldn’t be happier about it!!!!!
haha - I think it might be a teacher thing!
I know exactly how you feel. I am now on medication to clear out the bacteria in my system for my back-ne and now of course it’s all popping up on my face. What gives?
I don’t know. What the heck adult skin?
My dad would always do the “x more wake-ups” countdown with us when we were getting ready to go on vacation!
hahah those pictures are soo stinkin cute!!
Your school is almost out there?! In Texas they go until July 7!
Yikes. I would hate life.
Omg, that Buzzfeed article… wtf?! haha
RIGHT?!?!
Ugh, zits like that are the worst! I always pick and pick and pick until they get even worse. It’s a horrible habit. And congrats on picking names!! How exciting
.
haha same here. I try SO hard not to!
We’re not sharing the name either! Not until she’s born
But we’re also not decided on any either, hah. We’ve got like 15……
I too have a zit on my cheek…twinners!
haha - I wish we were twinners in different ways because this pimple is ridiculous.
That’s so exciting that you have names picked out!!
Have a great weekend!
Haha that reminds me of how I used to count time in number of “sleeps” when I was younger.
That’s so exciting you have names picked out - I can’t wait to find out!
I am a teacher and I say wake ups too!!! I have 10 more wake ups! Woo-hoo!!
The names are my favorite part! You stinkers. My impatient self will just remain curious
I love it! We say wakeups too! I love the overly animated facial expressions, too cute!
Will you share the names at all before the girls are born?? Or do we have to wait that long? That’s just mean!
You have to wait.
