1. It’s Friiiiiiiidaaaay! I’m not sure why I’m still excited about that, but I’m going to be.
2. We had our maternity photo shoot last night, and I am soooo pumped to see all the pictures. We got a few peeks on Facebook last night, and I have to say – my favorite one is the one where we felt goofiest. The Husband kissing my belly and me laughing about it. Loooove it.
3. My cousin Rian sent me this yesterday – does she know me or what?
Sorry, but I’m not sorry. Get it together folks.
4. I was a semi-embarrassed dog mom the other day. I took Charlie to the groomers, and he goes crazy whenever I take him there. He LOVES it. When the groomer was taking him to the back to put him in a crate until they were ready to make him pretty, Charlie saw the opportunity to jump up on at least three empty grooming tables to say hello to all of the girls waiting for a dog to groom. I kind of just laughed, but he was licking their faces, sitting on their laps, and wanting to be their best friends. This mom left with her head hanging low hoping they wouldn’t mind. (They didn’t)
5. I only have TWO more weeks left of grad school until I’m done for the summer. I am so looking forward to not doing any sort of school work for two months. That just means I can read all the fun books I want to read!
6. Poor Aubrey has been sick with a fever all week long. Yesterday she was finally feeling better, so I accompanied my mom and the kids to Trader Joe’s while I was out running errands. Apparently homegirl was still not feeling the best because she had a total meltdown in the store. Why? Because Trader Joe’s didn’t have watermelon as their sample. I’m talking tears, screaming, and head banging on the cart. I tried so hard not to laugh, but it was hilarious.
7. The weather is finally feeling like summer around here – well, kind of. Yesterday it was only 74, but when I was lounging outside and reading I swear it was 95. Darn this extra blood volume. I need a pool to float in. Stat.
8. I’m stopping on number 8 because it’s 8:00 and my brain is mush. Is that normal? Probably not. Either way, I’m done. Happy Friday!

happy friday! can’t wait to see your maternity shots!!
Can’t wait to see your maternity pics!! Enjoy your weekend
I can’t wait to see your maternity shots!
You should buy a big blow-up pool and put it in your backyard! My neighbors have one to float and lounge in. I kind of want one too
.
haha I wish I could do that but I can hear the Husband in my mind right now telling me that would kill the grass.
Haha, my dad would never let us have a pool when were little, for that exact reason.
That is exactly what my husband told me. I told him it was less grass to have to mow…but that didnt work. : (
Excited to see your photos! We booked ours for the fall
Being off of school will feel MARVELOUS!! I finished back in April and I just loved that I would get to spend all my free time with my baby girl without have to worry about assignments. (PS- yes, I’m STILL enjoying this time off and not taking it for granted
).
Ok, I’m soooo scared for when the meltdown phase hits. I think I’ll be super embarrassed when that stage hits and we’re out in public lol.
The extra blood volume is so nuts isn’t it?! I’m normally such a cold person, but I was sleeping with the duvet off in mid-winter and STILL feeling warm!!
Happy Friday!!
Don’t worry about the meltdowns - it’s all about how you handle it as a parent! My mom didn’t stand for it, told Aubrey she was behaving in an unacceptable manner, and if she didn’t stop she had to go in the corner. End tears.
However, the first and ONLY time my older sister had a meltdown was in a grocery store, and she threw herself down on the ground kicking and screaming. My mom started to walk away from her and ignore her - low and behold, Kirstin got right back up and ran after my mom. Meltdown done.
Congrats on being almost done with grad school! D you still have another year or two years? I kind of have to agree with you on #3. Maybe it’s the teacher in us?
I have one more year left!
Sometimes I feel like I am a member of the grammar police force!
I can definitely be judgmental in that respect. Do you know what REALLY bothers me? I hate when I find typos/grammatical errors in books! I was reading a novel yesterday and found several. Don’t they pay people to catch and fix those?!?
Not gonna lie, I’d probably have a meltdown too if there were no watermelon samples - I take my melon addiction seriously. And yes, people need to get there/they’re/their (
)act together when it comes to punctuation… it makes my left eye twitch uncontrollably when I see bad grammar.
#3 is totally me as well!
Can’t wait to see some of your adorable maternity shots
I saw your maternity pics on Facebook, and I LOVE them! I agree, I absolutely love the one of John kissing your belly - ADORABLE. Gahh, you guys are too freakin’ cute.
Ughhhh bad grammar. I was a TA this last year, and nothing drove me crazier than mixing up their/they’re/there, your/you’re and whether/weather…marks were lost, I can tell you that. And congrats on almost being done! I finished classes in April and I am so freakin’ happy. No more schoolbooks for a little while! (although I am technically still in school right now…I don’t have classes, so I’ll take it).
Haha I’m glad you’re feeling so warm because I’m always freezing! If only we could balance each other out somehow…
Happy Friday love!!
I saw a couple photos on your FB and LOVED! The one with hubby kissing your belly I love, so cute!!! I am excited to see more!!
Happy weekend to you! Enjoy it girl! <3
I’m off for the summer and Fridays are still exciting. I don’t know why, though. haha mental thing, I guess. Can’t wait to see the pics!
Ooh can’t wait to see the pics!!!
The maternity shoot sounds so exciting! Hope you’re showing them;)
Haha, that e-card is how I live my life it seems. I get so frustrated seeing gramatical errors. Even though I probably do them myself sometimes when I don’t read over things properly.
Congrats on almost being finished!
Enjoy your weekend!
Ooh I hope you post some of the pictures on your blog! I’m sure they’re gorgeous!
so excited to see some of your maternity photos! assuming you’re sharing on the blog at some point : )
and yay for being almost done with school for the summer!! I’m about to start mine in a few weeks.
I totally understand Aubrey’s meltdown. Summer watermelon is delicious, and totally justifies a tantrum! Can’t wait to see the maternity photos!
Poor Aubrey- I seriously wish I could have a melt down when they’re not sampling what I want. Don’t we all?
I died at the funny e-card your cousin sent. I’m SO bad about correcting grammar ALL. THE. TIME! Especially on TV shows. I’ve even got my husband doing it now. Ha! Poor Aubrey, if only the lack of watermelon was my worst problem yesterday…
If you’re wanting summer, come on down to Alabama for a visit. On the news this morning the weatherman said today would be a cooler day - only 92, not 96 like yesterday. Talk about HOT! Have a wonderfully COOL Friday!
Oh man, sometimes it can be so hard not to laugh during a kid’s temper tantrum. It’s usually about how ridiculously small something can be to set them off!
People who get your and you’re mixed up make me snakey …
You know your an idiot when you’re grammar sucks.
I love the almost summer weather too!! Seattle has been having some good weather lately…I am not complaining what so ever!
My friend sent me that Ecard last week - I absolutely judge people on their grammar! I might have a meltdown if I couldn’t get some watermelon, too! Looking forward to seeing maternity shoot pics.
Look forward to seeing the maternity pics! Congrats on almost being done with school! I just finished up myself and I’m super excited! It’s the BEST feeling to know there’s no homework to do and no studying!
