There are a few items that we would not have been able to survive the last 7 (!!?!?!?!?!) weeks without. A few of them we had originally registered for and knew we wanted to use, but three of these products were life savers in our house after the girls came home! I am not affiliated with any of these products – we just love all of them. I know a lot of mamas to be read here (twin mamas too!), so I thought it would be nice to share.
Babytrend Double Snap-n-Go (or single snap and go for one baby)

This has been a lifesaver. My mom and I say on an almost daily basis that whoever thought to make this stroller was the best inventor in the world. I use this every single time I leave the house. It is lightweight and I can open and close it with one hand. I use it at the grocery store, other shopping, the doctor’s office, church… okay, I use it everywhere! It’s so convenient to just pop the girls’ car seats into the frame and have both hands free instead of carrying 20 pounds of baby carriers. This is a definite twin must have, but even if you only have one baby, I would highly recommend getting their single model. You’ll thank me when you aren’t lugging around your huge stroller system!

We didn’t buy these until the girls were about five weeks old, and Brooklyn was having some trouble sleeping at night. It turned out to be a whole host of things that was attributing to her restless behavior (reflux and a growth spurt being two – yikes), but breaking out of her swaddle surely didn’t help. Both our girls sleep much better when they are swaddled, and I love these sleep sacks. I would get so frustrated in the middle of the night when I would wrap those two up only to have them break out of their swaddle five minutes later. These are so easy to use, and make the middle of the night much more bearable. A definite must!
Another perk is that I can tuck Brooklyn’s pacifier safely under a piece of the fabric near her face and she won’t spit it out. I’m pretty sure this is the only reason why I am getting any sort of sleep.

These are the pacifiers the hospital used when the girls were in the NICU, and we have continued to use them at home. Brooklyn seriously CANNOT function without her binky. If she is awake, after about five minutes she won’t be happy unless she is sucking on something. She’s pretty cute and holds it to her face, but she has no control of her movements yet (obviously) and constantly knocks it out of her mouth. I keep joking that I want to harness the thing to her face for at night when she constantly loses it and screams to no end. I think we need some Wubanubs!

Life.Saver. We originally bought one rock and play about a month ago when Emerson decided she could push off of her sister while they were sleeping and roll onto her stomach while swaddled. That freaked me the heck out, so we immediately got something else for her to sleep in at night. She absolutely loved it from the get go. Fast forward to about two weeks ago when we figured out that Brooklyn has reflux (and actually Emerson does too) and that was why she was so cranky being put on her back at night. It was also why we would wake up and she would be covered in vomit which was really scary since she was flat on her back. We tried putting Brooklyn in Emerson’s rock and play one night, and Emme ended up sleeping in the swing because she was so upset sleeping in the pack and play. Needless to say, it was a rough night. We went out the next day and bought another Rock and Play, and nights have been almost seamless since. The girls LOVE them, and I love that the girls will sleep in them. They’re easy to fold up, carry around the house, and travel with as well which will be great for the holidays!
This is probably the grossest product on the face of the Earth, but it is also one of the best. I hated using the bulb to try and suck snot out of the girls’ noses. It took forever, they screamed the whole time, and it was traumatic for all parties involved. I finally broke down and bought one of these. Basically, you suck on one end and hold the other end up to the baby’s nose and it instantly sucks all the goop out of their noses. Like at lightning speed. It’s not as gross as it sounds because there is a filter in there and there is absolutely no way you can suck any of the boogies into your own mouth. The girls still scream, but at least the torturous act lasts a fraction of the time now. I swear it’s worth buying!!
Question for moms: What are products that you could not have lived without?
