fun facts friday

June 27, 2014

1. Thanks for all the well wishes on my girlies. After a rough start to the week, everyone is feeling much better thanks to modern medicine! ;)

2. My mom is baaaaaaack from Hawaii! She had a blast, but she’s not ever allowed to go away without me again. #codependent #ipromiseimnotweird

3. Have you guys ever heard of or tried Bark Thins? Oh. My. Gosh. They’re so so delicious. We get them at Costco, and it’s quite possibly the most difficult thing not to eat an entire huge bag in a day.

(my new favorite!)

4. We officially have two crawlers on our hands. Brooklyn has been doing an army crawl for a few weeks, but yesterday she decided she could crawl for real. She picks and chooses when she’s going to do it… but, hold me. Please. My life is officially over. ;)

5. My wonderful husband went and got me a new phone. I’m glad I got one quickly because we don’t have a landline. I would hate to be caught without a phone in an emergency!

6. I have not worked out one single bit this week – I’ve barely walked at all. I’m promising myself I will be getting up this morning to go for a run. Wish me luck! (Although I will already be back from it by the time this post is published)

7. My new favorite lunch right now is a microwaved sweet potato topped with spinach, chickpeas, a little cheese, and barbecue sauce. Try it. It’s delicious. The best combination!

8. Emerson’s new game is to stand by the toy bin and slowly take each toy out one by one. She will literally stand there for the longest time and not actually play with any of the toys – just remove them. She’s hilarious!

9. The girls had their first bites of macaroni and cheese yesterday. My mom and I went out to lunch with Aubrey, and she happily shared with them. They were a mess, but they loved it! (how could they not?!)

10. I am planning on taking the majority of next week off. I am going to Cleveland with one of my friends for a few days, and then we will be partaking in a lot of 4th of July activities! I may have a post here and there, but if you don’t hear from me, that’s why!

11. Eleven? And here I thought when I started typing I didn’t have much to say.

12. Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy your weekends!

Nice lunch!!! I’d go almond butter and coconut yoghurt on top of that sweet potato for a sweet option!!! Yummers! Good luck with the run!

So glad the girls are feeling better! Two sick babies definitely doesn’t sound like fun! And that lunch looks amazing! Definitely need to try that one!

One of the kids that I used to nanny for would take things out of drawers and put them back. For HOURS. Best job ever, I just sat there and read a magazine while she happily amused herself doing something other people avoid like the plague.

Those Bark thins looked dangerously good. I’m glad you’re traveling to Cleveland, I live in Chicago but lived in Cleveland until last year, it’s beautiful in the summer! If you have time, you should visit Mitchell’s for ice cream or the West Side Market for beautiful produce and lots of good treats!

Oooh that Bark looks fab!

And what are those placemats the girls have? I am intrigued!

Baby L is not allowed to start crawling…ever. HAHA.

Did you have to remind me of Bark Thins? I was addicted to those and then managed to forget them finally. Yes, I believe I did eat almost an entire bag in one day. We had dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds here in Texas and it was amazing.

Happy Friday with your fam (especially the two “crawlers”!) Ahhh you’re going to be one busy lady with two on your hands! ;)

When I first read ‘Bark Thins’ all I could think was…that is an awful name! Why would they call it that? Then I scrolled a little further and saw the picture….my thoughts quickly changed to ‘why am I not eating this right now??’. They look all sorts of cracktacular deliciousness.

Quite a thoughtful husband indeed. I hear you on the non-fun of being without a phone. Mine decided to die today - why on a Saturday with no stores open tomorrow?? I’m already getting anxious about all of the people only knowing my mobile number that can’t reach me now - and vice versa.
On another note I’m undecided whether I should be glad or sad Bark Thins don’t exist over here. I’d be SO over them. Especially the pretzel flavour.
Enjoy your time in Cleveland!

My kids at work empty the toy shelves all the live long day. We clean up and they pull the toys down. Same with the toy bins. It’s so funny.

Bark Thins are dangerous. Have you tried the blueberry quinoa? O.M.G. I banned myself from buying them ever again. That’s all I’m saying ;)
