meals for the week: 11/2 – 11/8

November 4, 2014

One of my favorite posts to read are seeing what people are planning to eat for dinners for the week. I don’t know about you all, but when it comes time to meal plan and do my grocery shopping come the weekend, I like to have a few recipes/meals already in my head so some of the leg work is already done. We have a lot of the same meals over and over again, which is nice (kind of?). I like utilizing my crock pot these days. It is so helpful not to have to make dinner when I get home from work!

These days the girls basically eat whatever we are eating with a few exceptions of course. They’re not really fans of spicy foods, so there are some days where I’ll make them something quick and easy so they have something to eat.

So, here’s what we are eating/have eaten this week!

Sunday: Black Bean & Spinach Quesadillas (with pico de gallo and guacamole!)

Monday: Mom’s Vegetarian Chili (the girls ate broccoli and Annie’s Mac & Cheese)

Tuesday: Crockpot Brown Sugar Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin, baked sweet potatoes, green beans

Wednesday: Pasta with Turkey Meatballs & Marinara Sauce

Thursday: Turkey Paninis, Alexia French Fries, & Frozen Peas

Friday: Pizza or some sort of take out

Saturday: Wing it, leftovers, or out

Believe it or not, but I actually have the hardest time figuring out what the girls are going to eat for lunch. I never want them to have too much of one thing in a day (they would seriously live off of bread and butter and cheese if I would let them), so I try to balance it out depending on what I have planned for the week’s dinners. Then I leave a list for each day for our moms to feed them lunches. It works out really well!

Share with me (so I can have some more ideas for next week) – what are you having for dinners this week?
