5:17 AM – My first alarm goes off. I’m pleasantly surprised that Brooklyn slept all night. Poor baby has been having quite a time with her teeth. Hit snooze.
5:26 AM – Next alarm goes off. Ugh. I guess I should get up.
5:31 AM – Okay, I really need to get up now.
5:33 AM –Wash face and put in my contacts (don’t worry, I showered before bed).
5:38 AM – Emerson is rolling around and chatting to herself in bed. She’s going to be tiiiiiired come nap time!
5:39 AM – Start putting on makeup, finish getting ready.
5:50 AM – Get Emerson out of bed and get her some milk. I turn on Mickey, but she wants nothing to do with it… or a lot of her milk. Girlfriend is on the go!
6:00 AM – Sit down to eat breakfast (peanut butter toast with banana slices) and Emerson wants to sit with me. I hear Brooklyn on the monitor and go grab her, get her some milk, change both of their diapers.
6:15 AM – Nana’s here! I pass off baby duty to her and go get dressed, finish packing my lunch, and feed Charlie.
6:47 AM – Crap! How is it already so late?! I better get going despite Brooklyn’s mommyitis this morning.
6:52 AM – Aaaaand I need gas. Whoops.
6:54 AM – Starbucks run. Venti coffee, extra soy, one pump of pumpkin please!
totally not a picture of my drink this morning 😉
7:30 AM – Lot of traffic this morning. Good thing I don’t have to be in until 8:00 on Mondays (not that I ever want to get there that late!)
7:35 AM – Phone call from my mom. Emerson projectile vomited her milk EVERYWHERE once I left.
7:39 AM – Pull into the school’s parking lot, head into the office to check my mailbox, head up to my classroom. Talk with some friends. Get ready for the day.
8:15 AM – teach teach teach
11:15 AM – Lunchtime! Today is a huge salad (I’m lacking greens lately), a pumpkin Chobani, and some gluten free crackers.
12:05 PM – teach teach teach
3:00 PM – Respond to a few emails, chat with some coworkers, plan for tomorrow (today)
3:35 PM – Walk out the door and head home!
4:06 PM – Walk through the door at home. My mom told me B fell off the couch… again. That marks twice in 24 hours. These girls are animals on the couch! They do not know how to sit nicely. Is sitting nicely on the couch even a thing at 15 months? Oy.
4:15 PM – Get the girls in their boots and jackets and head out the door for our chiropractor appointment.
4:45 PM – Arrive at the chiropractor. So so grateful my mom offered to come with me. We had to wait a really long time. Try to corral 3 children (Aubrey came with us). Fail miserably.
5:15 PM – Finally get into see the chiropractor. I go first. I was super out of whack. B’s next – she’s pretty skeptical. E’s last – she screams.
5:35 PM – Pack up the girls to go home. Laugh because Emerson is a beast to get into her car seat.
6:00 PM – Pull into the driveway. Both girls fell asleep. Get them out of their seats, hold Emerson’s hand and let her walk up the front walkway, hold Brooklyn. Make it through the door in one piece.
6:02 PM – Coats off, boots off, run around like a mad woman trying to put some last touches on dinner. Daddy’s home!
6:12 PM – Dinner’s on the table. We have crock pot beef sandwiches with a side of broccoli and cauliflower. The girls eat the cauliflower but have chicken nuggets instead. The beef is too spicy for them.
6:28 PM – Both girls seem like they want some more food, so we give them about a zillion frozen blueberries. Brooklyn shovels them into her mouth so quickly, I think she has about 10 in her mouth at one time. Surprised she didn’t choke.
6:40 PM – Get the girls cleaned up and out to the living room to play. They’re not having it. We spend about 5 minutes trying to play, but end up putting on pajamas instead.
6:50 PM – Settle down on the couch with a book before bedtime.
6:55 PM – Off to bed! They are zonked today.
7:05 PM – Off to Kohl’s! The fifth grade and kindergarten always teams up every year to adopt a family in need for Christmas. The kids donate money, and then we go shopping for the families. Every single year I’m amazed and so proud of my students for how generous they are. One little girl saved her allowance for 2 weeks just to donate her money. My goal is to find clothes and toys for two little girls. Success!
8:35 PM – Arrive home. Chat with the husband for a few minutes. Change into pajamas.
8:45 PM – Stuff Christmas card envelopes. Lick envelopes. Yuck.
8:53 PM – Respond to a few work emails.
8:55 PM – Start working on this post
9:20 PM – Finish writing.. is this day over yet? I’m exhausted! Realize I didn’t take any pictures today because this wasn’t the post I was planning on writing for today.
9:25 PM – Grab a quick snack in the kitchen.
9:30 PM – Wash face, brush teeth.
9:35 PM – Hop into bed. Read for a little bit.
Hopefully asleep before 10!
