1. This has been one snowy week! The official reading for the total snowfall on the blizzard over the weekend was 19.5 inches… and we have gotten two more days of snow, albeit light snowfalls, since then as well. My poor husband needs to sleep for like 24 hours straight. Also, I’m so glad he’s home now – that single motherhood stuff is tough. Props to you mamas (and daddies) out there who do it every day!
2. I think I figured out which perfume triggered that ocular migraine last week. I wore my sample of Prada Candy on Wednesday, and my head hurt ALL day long. It wasn’t quite as bad of a headache, but that’s probably because I wasn’t sniffing it straight from the bottle about 10 zillion times to figure out if I liked the scent.
3. I am finally going to see American Sniper tonight! The husband went to go see it with my brother in law a few weeks ago, so I’ve been waiting for my friend to get back from Vegas so that we could go see it. To say I am excited is an understatement.
4. This whole DietBet definitely has me motivated. I have worked out 4 times this week, and am planning on working out again tomorrow! It’s been a mix of videos as well as some treadmill running, which is good in my book! The game is up to $7,400 and 296 people. The crazy in me wants it up to an even 300! 😉
5. I am in need of a new bathing suit (thinking ahead!)… I loved the print of the swim suit I had last year, but it was CONSTANTLY falling down, and I had no support at all. I felt like I was always looking down to make sure I hadn’t fallen off. Plus, it didn’t help that I was carrying around infants while wearing it. I can’t wear a bikini - no no no. I’m in the tankini market these days. Any suggestions?
6. Did you see that Brittany wrote a book?! A BOOK! All about baby led weaning. Seriously, I don’t know how that girl kept that book a secret for as long as she did. Brit - you are amazing! If you’re interested in the topic and want to know more, you definitely have to check her book out. I looked at a sample yesterday (and am planning on buying it for our next go round) and I love the writing style. Easy to read, everything is written in laymen’s terms, and it feels like Brittany is having a conversation with you. Awesome!
7. It was so cold yesterday morning. So so so cold. On Thursdays I have to put the girls’ car seats in my mom’s car and by the time I was done my hands literally hurt from being so cold.
8. Can we talk Scandal for a minute here? Las week I watched it during the lunch hour of my institute day with some co-workers (one of which was my principal - ha!) and I was going CRAZY! They’re making me nuts trying to figure everything out! If you don’t watch Scandal, you really have to make an effort to watch the previous seasons. It’s by far my favorite show!
9. Thanks for all your kind words about B! She must have had a random fever on Monday night because she hasn’t had one since! I think it may have been teething related. They’re getting hit hard with those molars!
10. Earlier this week I got a special delivery from Victoria (no, not Secret). She is a reader who graciously offered to send me a few pairs of her beautiful earrings from her Etsy shop!
