1. Yesterday was record breaking as far as temperatures went - in the morning it was -8 with a wind chill of -30! Definitely not the coldest it’s been all winter, but the coldest February 19 has ever been. About all of the schools in the area were closed… except for mine. Apparently we’re the new Minnesotans. 😉
2. I’ve told you all about my lack of sleep lately, right? First Emerson wasn’t sleeping well at night, then they were both sick, and we spent the better part of a week trying to get back to normal sleeping habits. For the past few nights before I have fallen asleep, I have said "tonight is going to be the night we all sleep". Lo and behold, Wednesday was that night! I was absolutely shocked when I woke up for the first time that night when my alarm went off in the morning. Then they repeated their all night sleep last night!! Thank goodness!
3. We have a busy busy weekend planned! Tomorrow during the day I have a baby shower followed by pizza at my in-law’s house. Sunday I have TWO more baby showers. Crazy weekend!
4. All of the recipes we have tried this week have been really good! I loved the Stacked Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas as well as the Creamy Chicken & Rice - Yum!
5. Yesterday at school we were feeling a little stir crazy, so we headed out for lunch. I ate the biggest omelet known to man, and I was STUFFED all afternoon.
6. I have no idea what part of the year we’re going to be moving, but I really want to get back to having a vegetable garden this summer. Two summers ago I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to tend to the garden with being so pregnant, and last summer I was afraid I wouldn’t have time with the girls. I miss it! I think I’m going to start one come spring and hope we’ll be there when some veggies are ready to be harvested. Either that, or I’ll come back to get my vegetables. 😉
7. Who else loves to watch The Middle? I was DYING on Wednesday night watching that episode. My favorite line was "You can’t get married! You’ll be Sue Sue McGrue!" And WHAT about Scandal? Was anyone else dying during that episode last night!? I’m not going to lie – I had to look online to see who a particular character was. I completely forgot about him!
8. The other day I caught this sweet moment of the girls lounging after a long day playing hard with mommy.
Then I caught this even sweeter one.
I didn’t catch Brooklyn’s screams after those sweet moments ended only 10 seconds later because Emerson rolled over her to crush her. #twinning
