1. Happy first day of Spring!! It actually will feel like spring today, although this weekend is supposed to be all kinds of nasty. That’s March for you though - it gets you all amped up after one 70 degree day, and then the rest of them you just hope and pray the weather reaches 50.
2. New mommies out there? You need to read this post. I absolutely loved reading the honest thoughts about becoming a mommy - and when it comes down to it… those baby snuggles definitely outweigh anything such as dirty laundry or dishes. I miss those naps where the girls would snuggle up on me. They are the BEST!
3. I got my nails/toes done the other night at a place I had only been to a handful of times. While it’s not my favorite place in terms of aesthetics, they sure do a mean mani/pedi.. and SUPER efficient too. I always kind of dread getting my nails done (I love pedicures but sitting in the chair to get manicures is not something I look forward to - I like the end result though!), but one girl did my toes while another girl simultaneously did my nails. I was in and out in 45 minutes. Woohoo!
4. Do you know what I think I could eat for dinner just about every day? Quesadillas. I made the best quesadillas the other night filled with corn, black beans, spinach, and sweet potato.. and cheese (duh). They were so stinking good.
5. Anyone else out there with small children who did not do a lick for St. Patty’s Day? I didn’t even make sure my children were dressed in green. I don’t know if I should step up my game as they get older or be “that mom” who doesn’t do things for holidays like that. Decisions, decisions. 😉
6. I found out that my dancing queen, Emerson, loves Uptown Funk just as much as I do. She made me (yes, my 18 month old daughter MADE me do something) play it on repeat about 7 times so we could dance and spin around together the other night. Brooklyn didn’t want to join in on the fun unless I was the one bouncing her around. Have I mentioned before that my children are NIGHT AND DAY?!
7. Ever since I changed my work computer’s background to pictures of the girls, my girls (students) have been obsessed with drawing pictures for E&B. I actually do bring them home for E&B, and yesterday’s Olaf picture was a big hit with Em!
