12 days of christmas

December 17, 2010

This isn’t the song you sang happily with your grandmother around the piano on Christmas Eve. If you’re new around here, I’ve been counting the days down until Christmas vacation like a first grader with an agenda to play in the snow for 14 days straight.

Who says teachers don’t need a break?

This – is the teacher edition.

::ahem::

The day before Winter Break, my excited students gave to meeeeee:

twelve opportunities to say “STOP TALKING!”

eleven minutes to eat my lunch

ten personalized stationary cards

nine weekday mornings to eat my oats as slow as I wish

eight acts in the fifth grade talent show

seven hours of a splitting headache

six(ty) minutes of a holiday sing along

five golden riiiings (I had to.)

four beautiful Holiday cards

three shopping gift cards

two coffee mugs

and one homemade flying goose ornament

I only wish I could have five more – so I could have had six geese a laying.

Question: What is one of your “days of Christmas” this year?

PS – 3 truths, 1 lie… part II has been updated. I think I stumped all but Charmaine!

PPS – Today is your last day to enter in my Larabar giveaway! It ends tonight at midnight. Happy entering!

Only 12 opportunities to say stop talking? You must mean per class period? :)

This post makes me miss being in elementary school! I LOVED the holiday sing-a-longs and variety shows that we always did before Christmas haha.

Yesterday I baked 1 batch of cookies (and many more to come!).
