If you didn’t know I was a dork before just by reading my blog, you’re going to know it tonight. There’s a reason why I write and why I choose not to speak in public.
I had a reader request to learn about my skin care and makeup routine in a video blog.
It’s long.
Go get the popcorn. Use the bathroom. Grab an iced tea.
And I don’t know why the volume is all crazy — it was not like that on my computer. Sorry folks.
And then I realized my video was too long to be just one video — so you get two!
Don’t mind the beginning — I’m not a good video editor.
It actually took me longer to explain about my skincare and makeup routine than it takes me to actually complete it. If you’re looking for my skin care products, you can go to Face Natural’s website.
Now you know why I write instead of speak. It was painful, wasn’t it?

I have been using Desert Essence for awhile, and I use that once or twice a day and also some Clean and Clear products — especially Persa-Gel 10!!! My lifesaver. As for makeup, I am a cheapo. Besides the occasional Clinique or Too Faced, most of my stuff is Maybelline or Physician’s Formula!

My skincare routine is actually really simple, because I have sensitive skin and I find that the more I tinker with it, the more I break out. I just use a basic Neutrogena cleanser in the morning and evening, and a Lancome moisturizer and toner. Then a few times a week I’ll make an at-home face mask with oatmeal, honey, and lemon juice. Super nice. As for makeup, I’m not really that loyal to one brand, but I like MAC, Nars, and Urban Decay.
You are so pretty! And my favorite skin care product is probably my Neutrogena Combination Skin moisturizer. It keeps the oiliness to a minimum. Thanks for sharing!

Mmm I love minty products. I’m using Back to Basics Revitalize (or something like that) shampoo/conditioner and it has eucalyptus in it. My hair smells fabulous, which only makes me want to stay in the shower even longer than I already do. I also steal my husbands Kiels Facial Fuel (with peppermint). Tingly greatness.

I think your makeup looks great! My favorite moisturizer is Korres pomegranate-it’s meant for oily/combo skin. I love it so much, but not so much the price tag! I use Aveda for my hair (again, love it but not so much the price). I use various brands for make-up: Tarte, Korres, MUFE, Urban Decay and more. I like Tarte and Korres because they’re more natural than some others. I’ve yet to find a more natural alternative (that works just as well) to my beloved MUFE foundation, concealer and loose powder though.

Haha Chelsey, I loved it. It wasn’t painful at all. I don’t know if I can choose a fave skincare item. I have the Clarisonic skincare brush, which you put your cleanser on and use it to wash your face. My skin used to be really bad but it’s gotten soo much better since I started using it. My cleanser and toner are by Eminence Organics, and they cost an arm and a leg but I haven’t found anything else that I like with ingredients as pure. I used to use their moisturizer too but I just started using coconut oil instead, which I already used as an all-over body moisturizer and lipgloss, and I love it. Since I started using it, my mom even said my skin looks like it’s improving and she never says anything nice about my skin. For makeup, I use the blush and mascara from Gabriel cosmetics, which is a vegan, natural skincare line, and I use the mac concealer that I’ve literally had since eighth grade. Gross, I know, but I’ve run out of all my other concealers and I don’t want it to go to waste. For foundation/SPF I use the Eminence Organics Sun Defense, and then as a setting powder, especially around my eyes because they tend to get greasy from concealer and stuff, I use the Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I don’t use bronzer often but when I do I just borrow one from my mom because I’m pretty sure I don’t have one. I don’t use eyeliner everyday but when I do use it I use one I have from Urban Decay. So now you know my life story…

I use pca skincare face bar at night, clarisonic mia to put it on with, I love my clarasonic! I use lamer moisturizer ( very expensive but worth it) and I use lancome serum and eye cream!!!
