fun facts friday

December 12, 2014

1. I took some of your recommendations and made a decision yesterday – I bought The Catcher in the Rye and it will be here tomorrow! I found it weird that I wasn’t able to buy a kindle edition, so I’m getting a hard copy.

2. This week, once again, flew by. I can’t believe a week from today I’ll be on winter break!

3. Early last month, a reader (Sara) emailed me wondering if I would be interested in sampling out some Rodan+Fields products. Well, I used up my samples in no less than 3 days, and I was ready to shell out some dough for the products - they’re awesome! Sara graciously gifted their Reverse program to me, and I’ll be talking a little bit about it next week. I know when I shared the picture on Instagram, so many of you said you love their products!

4. Does anyone else watch Modern Family? I was dying at the episode on Wednesday night. Drinking, tattoos, new cars, Lily (!!!), oh my goodness. There wasn’t a segment I didn’t love.

5. Around this time of the year, I always want to watch Friends. But a particular Friends episode. The Holiday Armadillo.

6. The only thing we have planned this weekend is to have lunch at my mom’s house on Sunday after church. I’m looking forward to spending some time with the girls, maybe baking some cookies, and wrapping Christmas presents. Well, if the cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry all get done first.

7. I was looking for a dress to wear on Christmas Eve this year to wear to church, and I found this one on sale at Old Navy. I didn’t want to spend a ton, and I wanted something loose and that could be worn with leggings. I ordered it online, so I’ll be getting it soon. Hopefully I like it!

8. The girls were having a ball yesterday. My mom texted me during the day to tell me all about how Emerson loved pushing Brooklyn on her little car. I caught it on the camera when I got home – SO stinking funny!

Plus, we have our first box house thanks to Daddy. The girls played in it all evening!

9. So I was thinking about what I want to make for dinner next week, and I remembered this awesome spaghetti squash casserole that I made a few months ago. It had ground beef (I think the original recipe called for sausuage), and ricotta cheese and tomato sauce…. and it was DEEEELICIOUS. However, now I can’t remember where the heck I found the recipe. Do any of you have a clue? I’m dying to make it again! Edit – I found it!!!!!!

10. Happy Friday everyone! Catch you on Monday!
