However, it’s probably not the boot camp you’re thinking of.
Like I shared last Friday, earlier last month, a reader, Sara, emailed me to see if I had ever used Rodan+Fields. Rodan+Fields products come from the same dermatologists that created Pro-Activ. Their goal was to make awesome skin care products that produced real results at HOME - without the use of invasive procedures and without the use of injections.
When Sara contacted me, I can’t say I was necessarily unsatisfied with my skin care regime. A few years ago I sent out a cry for help about my skin, and to this day I can’t believe how popular that post became. Apparently people are really passionate about skin care! I think when it comes down to it, we all want the secret to beautiful skin.
Like most people, I have a few woes about my skin. I seem to always have a breakout or two, I have large pores (thanks Dad!), and my skin tone never seems to be even or particularly bright. Not to mention, this skin isn’t getting any younger and the sleep deprivation that I’ve been through in the last year and a half has done quite a number on it.
So, I figured I would give it a shot. Sara had me take a short quiz on the product line that would be the best for my skin at the moment. My results showed that I would benefit the most from the Reverse line. This line is specific to giving your skin that natural glow back. This product line "exfoliates, visibly brightens, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and defends against sun exposure for a long-term solution for a radiant complexion". Umm, sign me up!
Sara originally sent me a three day sample kit to try out the Reverse R+F line. After using it for only three days, I was hooked. I even emailed her after my first use to tell her I couldn’t believe that some of my stubborn blackheads surfaced after one use! I was ready to shell out my own money to purchase the Reverse line, but Sara graciously gifted me my first set. I have to say though, at this point I am planning on purchasing it myself once this set is gone!

I am currently on week two of my two week skin care boot camp. These products pack a punch, so it is advised that you slowly build up from a once every other day application to a twice daily usage over the course of a few weeks. I have noticed my face breaking out a little bit since I started using the products. HOWEVER, I think that is completely normal (and Sara also agreed that yes - it’s normal!) because my skin is getting rid of that nasty bacteria that has been sitting in my pores.
While I have had a few break outs, I have also noticed my skin’s tone is already evening out, and that my face feels more moisturized than ever. I am hoping that over the next two months that I continue to see amazing results. I’m planning on checking in after one month and bringing you my results, complete with before/after pictures after my "60 days to beautiful skin" is completed!
