lazy girl ironing video blog

June 18, 2011

You’ve probably hear me say “I’m lazy” about a zillion times already on this blog. Nothing says laziness, however, quite like my ironing method.

Don’t judge me and just try it.

Question: What’s your “lazy” shortcut?

I couldn’t see the vid :( hmm lazy shortcut though…I hate to vacuume so I just swiffer or dust sometimes. I don’t know if that counts as being lazy but it prevent me from lugging my huge jass vacuum all the way upstairs/downstairs. :)

Couldn’t see the video! My lazy method is using the spray stuff to get the wrinkles out, no ironing here!

oo I loathe laundry. I would rather empty the dishwasher 20x before I had to iron or fold laundry.

I don’t like to do laundry. I would love to learn the lazy way! Ummmmm let me guess…. is it close your eyes and act like it isn’t there or needs to be done…

Idk if you know how to un-private your video, but you would go to YouTube, click on the button with the two arrows at the top right, click on videos, find this video from your list, click Edit under your video, scroll down to Privacy, and either mark it as Unlisted (people can’t find it on YouTube unless you give them the link, like embedding it on your blog) or Public, and then Save Changes. :)

I thought it was just me that couldn’t see it! I think I’m lazier though, I don’t iron at all… :-)

oh great to know Chels!! haha I was going to ask you if it REALLY WORKS with dress shirts and stuff, but you answered my Q :D Oh! have you ever tried the spray for “ironing clothes”?! It’s so cool! My fiance uses it all the time and it actually works. Can’t remember the brand name though…

You are fueling the lazy-girl fire in me.

I hate ironing too, so most of the time I’ll just use my steamer. LOL that probably doesn’t make any sense, but ironing is such a pain and I never feel like I get things looking like they should with an iron.

LOVE THIS TIP!! Haha I never iron, but I don’t have a cool trick like you either, so basically I just wear creased clothes! :P NOT ANY MORE THOUGH thanks to Vlog Tips from CEC!! :D

Haha I love tricks like this! This is an easy one, but I ALWAYS line my baking sheets when I bake or roast anything. Why wash a pan when you don’t have to?

Love it! What an easy way to get the wrinkles out! Luckily, my dryer has a steam setting that I can refresh my clothes in when I’m in a pinch. AND, my honey loves to iron, so I don’t have to worry about his clothes :)

Not to be critical but don’t you think this “lazy” method actually takes more time and pre-planning than ironing the good old fashioned way? anyway, cute video blog! xo

That is awesome! I HATE ironing with a passion. My lazy shortcut is that when I make the bed, I don’t tuck the covers under the mattress, I just let them hang because my comforter is long enough to cover it- it takes sooo much less time! :)

Awesome trick! I’ll have to give it a try ASAP…. The mother-in-law ironed all of my husband’s t-shirts growing up. Ummmm. Not this girl! I don’t think I will ever iron a t-shirt!! (even though I love him with my whole heart)

Am I the only one who actually LIKES ironing?? Although, bc of not having an iron nor an ironing board, I do not iron atm, so what I do instead is very similar to your trick. I do not put my clothes into a dryer, so I just take them out of the washing when they are still damp, give them a very good shake and put them on the line. Easy :) And it works (most of the time ;) ).

What is this ironing thing of which you speak? What is an ironing board? Sounds cruel.
heehee.

The shower is my go to method for silk or anything of that nature, and my straightening (or curling) iron is my go to for anything that can stand slight heat!! Works every time!

Oh how I loathe ironing. My husband does all mine, haha, that is my lazy way. He has to wear suits every day, so I just throw whatever I need on his pile in the morning ;)
