You might not believe me when I tell you this, but I’m kind of psychic.

Not to be confused with psychotic — although that is questionable around here.

Now, whether or not you believe in this or not, I can assure you that I am not a full believer in psychic. However, I sure know I have moments where I kind of scare myself.

There was this one time where I had a dream my sister was pregnant — and when I told her this, she confided in me that she had just found out three days before that was was having a baby. Creepy, right?

I always tell my students that I can read their minds. During spelling tests, I always insert their names into the sentences to make it fun for them. One week one of the words was “ravioli”, and I made the sentence, “XXXX really likes ravioli for dinner.” Her face went ghost white and told me she ate ravioli the night before for dinner and she had it in her lunch that day. The next week (same student), the word was “bargain”, and I made the sentence, “XXXX made a bargain with her parents last night to stay up past her bedtime.” Once again, ghost face — it had actually happened. My kids know not to mess with me.

Whenever I get into the car, I always start humming a song before I turn it on. Eight times out of ten I am humming the song that is on the radio when the car is turned on. And no, I don’t have the CD player on Smart Pants McGee.

Yesterday, I (out of nowhere) was talking about a situation with my mom about my sister and how it was all going. Five minutes later, my sister called my mom with an update on said situation.

I have always had a feeling that I am going to have multiples some day. I’ve always thought twins, and my mom has always hinted at this as well. She told me a few weeks ago she has always ALWAYS seen me having twins. When I got married, my aunt’s friend called me to tell me she had a vision of me with “Christmas twins” (and no, she didn’t know that I always thought that I would have twins). Last night, my mom had a dream she had triplets. She thinks this is a foreshadowing for me since we are basically the same person. I’m scared.

I told you — I’m kind of psychic. It’s strange. I’m so psychic that I knew before I wrote this post that being psychic would have nothing to do with my favorite green monster, which is actually what this post is about.

Anyways, green monsters have nothing to do with being psychic, but I do love them — and I love a specific one. My favorite green monster looks kind of gross, but I swear it’s delicious.

I have just recently started using Lifetime Life’s Basic Plan Protein (in Vanilla), which I really love. I always look for protein powders that are gluten, dairy, and soy free. This is pea and rice protein based and is really good. This protein powder is relatively cheap, and it was well worth the money spent!

There is actually a method to making the perfect green monster, so read the directions carefully. I swear it makes a difference!

My Favorite Green Monster

  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1/2 banana, frozen
  • 4 strawberries, quartered
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder
  • 2 tsp. chia seeds
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup almond milk

Directions: Place ice cubes and frozen banana into a blender and crush the ice until it’s semi smooth. Next, place your strawberries into your blender. On top of the strawberries, pour in your protein powder, chia seeds, and spinach (yes in that order). On top of your spinach, pour in your vanilla and almond milk. Cover your blender, and “liquefy” until smooth.

This green monster makes approximately 16-20 ounces. When I want my meal to consist just of a green monster, I’ll double the recipe. However, usually I will drink green monsters as snacks or as a component of my meal (I like the crunch and munching of eating!), so this is a perfect size.

I was going to end this post by asking you what your favorite green monster is, but you’ll be creeped out by knowing that I already know the answer to that question.

Next week, I’m going to cover how I am psychotic — because that’s also a very true statement.

But for now, I’m going to read my Husband’s mind. He is thinking, “Why do I actually really like this movie on the Disney channel?” Good question honey… good question.

Question: Have you ever had any “psychic” or “sixth sense” moments?
