feeling sparkly (giveaway!)

When I work out, I have a few pet peeves about clothes I choose to wear.

The first pet peeve is a shirt that rides up. There is probably nothing more annoying than trying to pull down a workout top while trying to complete a run or strength train. Since I am pretty tall (5’8”), this happens pretty often.

Another workout clothing pet peeve of mine is having hair in my face. I cannot stand constantly pushing back hair out of my eyes. It irritates me even more in the summertime when bugs are abundant — constantly feeling like I have a bug swirling around my face even though it’s a stray hair is downright frustrating.

What is even worse is attempting to tie your hair back and having it fall out all over the place. I have tried so many headbands while running only to have them stretch out and fall off mid-run.

So, when Sparkly Soul asked me to try out a few of their headbands, I was more than happy to oblige!

Sparkly Soul is a headband company that was started by a marathoner/tri-athlete who was sick of hair in her face with no option of having a cute accessory during training. Sparkly Soul set out to create a headband that would stay in place, not cause a headache, or cause any hair breakage.

Sparkly Soul sent me two headbands to try — a thin band and a wide band. I chose silver for the thin band.

… and black for the wide band.

I figured they are cute to work out in, but also cute for every day use, so I might as well choose colors I could use often!

I put the headbands to the test when I went out for my ten miler last weekend. I figured if it could endure any kind of run, it would be a long distance run!

I was absolutely smitten as to how well the headband held up during the run. It seriously might have moved about 1/8 of an inch, but for the most part it stayed in place. I wasn’t constantly adjusting the headband either. The headband also did not stretch after being on my head. Ten points for Sparkly Soul!

I wore the silver one all day yesterday, and while it stayed in place, the black (wide one) definitely stayed in place better. It was such a cute accessory for a casual day, and I really like how the sparkly design goes all the way around the band instead of just halfway like some other headbands.

Overall, I love these headbands. I’m sold!
