fun facts friday

January 17, 2014

1. So on Monday I told you I would be back “tomorrow”. Does it count if I say that this week flew by so quickly that today actually feels likes “tomorrow”? No? Okay well, I underestimated the craziness of this week. I went back to grad class on Tuesday and had a meeting last night, and ::sigh:: I so need this three day weekend! :)

2. I got six uninterrupted hours of sleep last night – SIX! This is huge, and it hasn’t happened for at least a month and a half.

3. We are supposed to get an inch or two of snow tomorrow, and I’d like more than an inch thank you very much. If it’s going to snow, it better SNOW.

4. I really need to go in for a massage. Every time I sneeze, the muscles under my left shoulder blade tense up like crazy.

5. I don’t think I could go a day without a text from this girl. Seriously, we crack each other up…. even though we probably aren’t funny to anyone else. Plus, her son is going to be one of my girl’s future husbands. #arrangedmarriage

6. I’m pretty sure I’m going to hate Tuesdays until June. That’s the day I have grad class, and I don’t get to see the girls at all. This Tuesday I face timed my mom before class so she would let me see them.

7. How do you working mamas balance it all? I feel like I’m always trying to play catch up, and that is with our moms doing things around the house for the husband and me since they watch the girls at our house. Gah!

8. You guys can shun me because I don’t have any pictures from this week to share of the girls. Sorry!

9. Okay, that’s enough for today – I have to get myself to work! Have a great weekend!

I agree about the snow - I’m not a fan of winter really, but if it’s going to snow, I want it to really SNOW.
Hope you have a great weekend!!

You’ll get used to always playing catch-up. My kids are 17, 12 and 7 and I still always feel like I’m playing catch-up. Yay for sleep, though!

I totally get how fast the week can go. Days go by and all of a sudden I realize I haven’t caught up with my favorite bloggers. I miss everyone. :) So excited for your six hour stretch of sleep. Now that McKenzie and McKayla are 6.5 months we are getting more nights of sleep. Still not perfect but getting there. :) Mom’s are the best, I seriously don’t know how anyone has twins without their mom. :) Enjoy your weekend.

It is impossible to have twins without your mom. My girls are 3.5 months and I thank God every single day for my mom’s help!

You are amazing for having work and school. How do YOU do it?!?! I wish I appreciated sleep more before having a baby. Put me in a hotel for a night and I’d be in heaven! haha

I’m always so happy whenever you blog!

Yay for a 3 day weekend! My husband and I are teachers as well. Our daughter is 2 weeks old and I’m already dreading going back to work and taking night classes. Glad to see I’m not alone!

That is hard going not getting to see them at all!!! Well you’re juggling school, work, blogging and TWO new babies!!! We’d all be lost without our mums to help us out in a pickle!

Hey. Where are my texts?? I’m going to start text stalking you.

And it’s so hard because you have TWO. It’s crazy with one…I can’t imagine two. I hate to say it. Get used to the always feeling behind feeling. I don’t think it ever goes away. ;)

I have no idea how you do all that you do! Definitely don’t feel bad about not giving constant updates. Those darling girls of yours are more important. :)

Chelsey, I don’t even know how you manage with going back to work when the girls are so young, and grad school, and running a home. You are seriously super woman. I am still on mat leave, and due to our living situation, I won’t be returning to the classroom for awhile. With that being said, my house oftentimes still looks like a tornado ran through it. Enjoy this weekend to the fullest, as you deserve it more than anyone!!!!
#arrangedmarriage… hilarious.

You’re pretty much my hero for going to grad school + taking care of twins + a job. I’m a college student taking 21 credits with a part-time job and no family of my own and I feel beyond overwhelmed sometimes haha! I’m certain you’ll look back and be so glad you did this and know it was all worth any chaos and hectic feelings you’re experiencing now!

Gotta love Tuesday night grad classes! I’m at St. Xavier! I don’t know how you balance it all either. I only have two part-time jobs, so I really cannot complain :)

I am in awe that you manage to work, do grad school, and be a mom to baby twin girls, all while remaining sane. How do you do it?!

You are an allstar! Keep doing YOU! Always be you, you’re the most amazing you ever!!!

I started living by this motto “Will it matter tomorrow?” If something getting done or not getting done will matter tomorrow, it makes or breaks if it gets done —-or if I even CARE if it happens. More often than not, I live on the floor playing with Jackson when I get done with school. I realized that is what will matter tomorrow in my books. I also have learned to stay SUPER focused while at school so during my breaks I am a mad woman planning & grading so I don’t have to take it home every.single.night.
Sending much love to an awesome Mom, teacher & all around woman!

I have no idea how you manage twins at all! I have one 9 month old baby girl and she’s a handful on her own! You’re doing great though.
As a full-time working (new) mom, I also always feel like I’m behind, playing catch-up. I recently tried to find tips online for organizing so I didn’t always feel that way. I came across a ton of sites with helpful hints… but they were all from stay at home moms. Not very relevant in my world.
So just know, you’re not the only one who feels this way!
