Back in March, I jumped on the Stitch Fix bandwagon. I first heard about Stitch Fix when I was pregnant with the girls, and unfortunately, it just was not the right time to try out the service. Fast forward to after I had them, and I really wanted to wait until I was back in all my pre-pregnancy clothes to spend money on some pieces. I’m glad I waited, but now that I’ve started I just can’t stop!
Reading about what people get in their Stitch Fix boxes are some of my favorite blog posts to date. I love that even though everyone writes about the same service, all the clothes are different so they never get boring!
In case you have not heard of Stitch Fix, it’s really simple.
1. Fill out a style profile. It’s quite extensive which I think is a GREAT thing so you get clothing items that are tailored to your style and body type.
2. Schedule a Fix. Each fix is $20 for a styling fee. However, if you end up liking any of your items and you want to keep some, that $20 is taken off of your total bill.
3. (Im)patiently wait for your fix to arrive. It is like waiting for Christmas as a child. My first fix took over a month to ship out because they were backed up, and I was so so excited for it to arrive!
4. Try on your clothing items, choose what you like, and ship back the ones you don’t. There is a return bag that already has postage on it, so it is super convenient.
5. Check out. Once you choose what you want to keep, you go online and check out. This is such a great feature because Stitch Fix asks for feedback on each clothing item. The feedback you give them is taken into consideration for your next fix.
6. Schedule your next one! I am currently on the “monthly” fix plan. The nice thing about this is that you can cancel it at any time, but you are guaranteed a box every single month.
So, what did I get in my box this month?
side note: please forgive my photos that were taken in a full length mirror that I brought into the kitchen/living room.
Alessanda Striped and Colorblocked Blouse
I absolutely love this blouse. It is something completely different from what I would normally pick out. It can be dressed up or down, and I’ve already worn it (and will be wearing it again today for work). I love the flowy feel of the top as well – me and tight clothing don’t get along these days. The more forgiving, the better! Kept
Corinna Striped Dolman Top
When I first pulled this out, I thought I was going to keep it. However, the sleeves were a little tight at the bottom, and I felt like it laid on me kind of weird. Sent back.
Emer Geo Print High Waisted Cropped Pant
No. Just no. I couldn’t even take a picture of myself in these as it was so so horrible. I feel like a lot of people can pull these types of pants off, but I can’t. I felt like they cut me off at my waist, and they certainly didn’t pull everything in like I wished they would. Instead they made every flaw that I have stand out. Sent back.
Paloma Back Cutout Jersey Top
The material of this shirt was incredibly soft. I also loved the back detail, but the cut and length of the shirt was not very flattering on me. Sent back.
Quincey Striped Maxi Skirt
Love love love this skirt. It’s soft, comfortable, and I already know I will get a lot of use out of it this summer. Kept.
I kept 2 out of the 5 pieces, and I am so excited for my fix next month. We have a lot of weddings to go to this summer/fall so I requested a dress along with a few sleeveless shirts.
Question: Have you ever tried Stitch Fix?
ps: all links to stitch fix are referral links. what that means is that if you ordered a fix under my referral link, i will get credit to go towards my clothing items. but you can too! once you sign up, everyone who signs up under your link will give YOU credit!

Have been really wanting to try StitchFix! Looks awesome especially when you don’t have time to get out and go to the store!
That’s the key for me!
Looove the concept of Stitch Fix. If only I lived in the States!!!
Can you choose price ranges and ask for specific designer labels, or is it just random selection on their behalf?
You can choose a price range if you’d like! They’re pretty obscure designer labels!
Once the babies are born, Stick Fix is definitely something I want to consider! The clothes look so adorable and I absolutely love that skirt on you!
Yes you absolutely need to try it after they’re born.
Love what you kept! Especially the maxi skirt! I’m only 5ft 1inch so find it so hard to get them the right length!
Thanks!
Cute! I’ve done two fixes so far and loved them both! I went on to order another one the other day and they are backed up until July 20th! Sheesh!
I know! I had to wait for two months for this one!!
I haven’t tried Stitch Fix yet because I’m worried I”ll love it and buy everything and won’t be able to stop
And I agree, these are always some of my favorite posts!
That is the problem! haha!
I love that Maxi skirt on you! I have never felt like I could pull off the Maxi look and am jealous of those that do so well. Can you pick a price point for your fix to keep it on the cheaper side?
Thanks! And yes you can choose a price point.
You are the cutest! I LOVE the two pieces you chose!! Ahhhh I keep resisting the whole StitchFix thing, but I may just have to jump on the bandwagon. Now I just have to convince my husband.
haha you would like it!
I think the idea of StitchFix sounds fun but I can’t don’t think I could spend that much money on clothing - that’s just me personally so no judging on anyone that does do it.
Ha - just the description of those pants would have been a No for me too!
PS - I love that you are blogging more often
I love it too.
i’ve seen Stitch Fix all over the blog world, and some of the pieces are cute, but i don’t think it’s for me. i tend to be really specific about my style and love shopping and finding things sporadically (can you live in NYC and not shop??), so i have a feeling i’d be the one who sends everything in every box back. but it’s fun to read about what you ladies get, and the idea is definitely cool.
If only I had a little more money so I could check out Stitch Fix! I am so jealous! But that shirt is so cute! I loved that first striped tank too! Looks so cute on you!
YES! The maxi skirt is a must - that’s so so cute!
Just received my 2nd fix on Friday and it was awful. Ended up with jeans covered in holes (I asked for professional attire?) and this crazy geometric patterned dress that swallowed my 5’1″ self. I’m done for now. The concept is great but I’m too picky!
Oh gosh, that doesn’t sound professional to me either!
I’m just curious, could you post the prices of each item in your next StitchFix post?
Absolutely! They were each around $50.
OMG I love that top and that skirt on you!!
Excellent choices.
Know what else I am loving? That you are blogging more regularly. We missed you!
Thanks! I am loving it too!
I looove that striped blouse/tank! It’s so so cute and while it’s kind of trendy looking, it’s also classy.
Oh and believe me…it’s sooo rare that a pair of pants like that patterned one will look good on me. I really want them to suit me, but usually they make me look extra stumpy since I’m already short and petite (5’1″).
THanks! I love the top too!
I love that skirt. Ugh.
Now you make me want to get another fix.
(Sounds like drugs, right? I’m so risque.)
Totally like drugs.
Stitch Fix sound so fun — I wish they delivered to Canada!
Hello! Found your blog through Peanut Butter Fingers. First off, your girls are adorable. Second, I love that top. Stitch fix would make such a great gift idea.
Hi Amanda! Thank you for the kind words. I hope you come back again soon!
I love that skirt on you! Absolutely perfect for summer. I really gotta get on this Stitch Fix thing. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It’s a really fun service!
I love that maxi skirt! Looks fab on you.

I could not pull off those pants either. Gah! I just want to move to the states already so I can get my (stitch) fix!!!!
That is so cool- I love the striped blouse on you!
I normally prefer shopping at stores but I’m so busy and think StitchFix looks interesting.
Would you mind sharing how tall you are? When I read posts like this, I always think about what clothes would work for my height (I’m short). Also, I want to update my wardrobe around some particular colors so my things match- can you specify the colors you like in your Stitchfix profile?
That maxi skirt is my favorite- it looks so comfy and it would go with anything! I still haven’t tried StitchFix yet, but I want to
