I’m easily amused. I laugh and laugh hard at silly things no one else seems to think are funny.
I do ridiculous dances in my car just for the fact that I want to make someone else laugh. Heck – it just might make their day.
It doesn’t take much to make me happy, and the other day was a great example of that. Did anything extraordinary happen? Not at all. Did I think it was the #bestdayever? Absolutely.
1. I got a spanking new hair cut.
I say spanking new because I haen’t gotten a hair cut in six months. It’s the same cut I always get though – angled to the front, short layers in back, long layers in the front – my mom mentioned I “made up my own cut”. Yes, yes I did – and I like it! My mom also used a lighter color on my highlights this time around which I L.O.V.E – LOVE!
2. I only spent $53 at the grocery store.
Is that sad that made it into my “best. day. ever”? Probably, but I don’t care. Look at all that food TJ’s gave me for $53! I will forever love Trader Joe’s. That’s a fact.
3. I got Big Bertha.
4. I started packing for a very special upcoming trip next week! As much as I want to go shopping, I am holding back. T-2 days!
And today will continue to be wonderful as I get to witness one of my great friends marry the love of her life this afternoon. Congratulations Courtney and Garrick!

I’ve been having a a lot of days like that lately… days where nothing amazing happens, but they feel like the most amazing days anyways. Love it! We’ve been having some pretty cold/wet/nasty weather here lately, and some things that have been making me happy have been sitting in a warm kitchen with something baking in the oven, being curled up on the couch with a hot cup of tea and a good book, and listening to the rain as I fall asleep.

My mom is a hairdresser, too! Love it. Free haircuts for life. <333 I love your hair, too; is it naturally so beautiful and straight, or do you have to straighten it? I have curly frizzy mop on my head. I straighten it, but I've been dying for naturally straight hair since I was 12! So gorgeous and simple and not fussy (if I wear my hair curly, I always have to be so "careful" so the curls don't get crushed/unwind… super annoying!)
Little thing that made me smile: my little brother stayed up later than me last night, and slept in later than me this morning. I went through the same nightowl stage when I was a tweenager, too… but its still weird and cute and funny because I'm still used to the little boy who goes to bed at 9 PM sharp and wakes up at 6 AM bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and asking for breakfast, lol!

I LOVE your new ‘do!!! It’s been over a year since I’ve done anything to my hair…I’m trying to grow it to my waist/hip, and I know people say you should go and get trims, but my hair is thick and healthy enough I don’t want the temptation of going into the hair salon, lol… I just very well let the lady get scissor happy.

I love your haircut so much. In fact, I’ve been thinking of showing a photo of it to my hair stylist. I hope that doesn’t creep you out! Haha. I heart Trader Joe’s too for groceries. You can get SO much there for practically nothing, and they even accept coupons! My husband randomly sent me flowers yesterday. The simple act definitely made my day.

Your hair is so cute! I finally went to a real salon yesterday and got a super cute cut…ten dollars more for a way nicer haircut, I’m a changed woman! AND I only spent half my grocery budget this week which meant my boyfriend and I went out for a vegan lunch buffet AND I might be able to get some thrift store blog photo props! No food processor, but it still makes me smile!
